here's one you can expound on for a while. last week a catholic priest in san antonio was found guilty of a sex crime. it was with an 17 year old girl so she was of the age of consent but she didn't consent. i don't remember exactly what charges were that they found him guilty of but at any rate they awarded the girl (now lady) a judgement of $30,000.

here's the kicker. the church is making the local archdioces (?) pay the fine so the archbishop in san antonio is appealing to all good local catholics to contribute to a legal fund for the priest.
