A male doctor is doing the nude physicals of a hundred young girls for recriutment in the army.

Ishahnaz,

That's pretty sparse, my friend. That's a situation, but not an idea. That reads like "Brandy brushes her teeth in the morning." We know who is involved (Brandy), what she is doing (cleaning teeth), and the vaguest sense of when and/or where it is happening (morning, presumably in a bathroom but not necessarily so), but absolutely nothing else.

What is it you'd like to see? Doctor is a lech who molests girls he tests? Doctor only fantasizes about girls, and the story is a "what if" piece, something to occupy his mind over the boring afternoon? Some young girl who he's forced to flunk decides to give him some added incentive to pass her? Perhaps a trio of girls joined together and one of their group bombs. The other two swear revenge on the hapless doctor. Maybe one of the girls he is testing recognizes him as the same guy who raped her last summer after the bars closed. She freezes when he has to put his hands on her. The story is how these two people interact.

You see, Ishahnaz, what you proposed is only the kernel of an idea. It can be elaborated on so much more to make it a vibrant, interesting, story concept. Lucky for you, this is exactly what this group is for!

Let's hear some suggestions from some of the other folks out there. This idea could be a winner.

Cheers!

I have a question:

Would the physician in charge of doing the entrance physical into a military academy (or reserves, or whatever) even be a male when it comes to female entrants? I don't know how it is in the US or any other country's military system, but I believe that in the Canadian system the doctor would by default be female. The patient could also request that a female physician be provided, if one isn't offered by default.

Any military or former military folk care to comment? The more realism, the better.

Regards,

Cool idea

Well i don't have any military backgroud but i guess that some armies in the world still has a low number of female soldiers so they havn't made regulations that says the doctor has to be same gender.

My idea would be that the woman could be applying for a special service (elite soldiers, Green berets, special forces) that is usually just applied to by men. The doc is a sceptic of this woman and dosen't want to pass her, but she shows him her "qualifications". I love stories about strong women not afraid to play on their sexuallity to get what they want.

Another idea would have to be that the doc is temp. He could be young and inexperienced and the female soldiers could decide to pull his (ermm...) leg.

Anyway more stories with female in the army, or in male dominated enviroments.!!

Everyone is so grumpy lately :)
However, I would like to see this area to evolve into a genuine brainstorming area rather than a requests area.

Even in the case of pure requests I suspect most authors actually want constant cajouling. For every page of writing we deserve a page of praise ;)

As for the 'would a male doctor be serving', who would really let that get in the way of a good story. Make it SF like starship troopers. More important to me is consistent medical jargon etc.

hmmm, have thought about it a bit. You are right. Sounds like a fun job but it still needs a plot. The simplest would be to describe a single encounter and it ending with the twist that there is a huge queue left to process. (not much of a twist to anyone reading this thread).

What does a physical involve anyway? eye tests? blood pressure, that tapping the knee with the rubber hammer deal...

Thought of a twist where the doctor is actually also looking for candidates for a slave trade deal, eg it is in some arab country, and he is secretly tagging women that match some specific requirement to go missing in action.

I don't know about the military, but I know with regular doctors, physicians, OB/GYNs, etc., that if the doctor is male and the patient female a female nurse MUST be present at all times.

And, as you know, Tatewaki, I am a firm believer of adding as much realism as possible to any story. Hell, if ever there is a topic or detail I do not know a lot about, I will do research on it to make it as perfect as I can. Fantasies are great, but unrealistic stories are not!

Agreed. The easiest way to get a reader to suspend disbelief is to keep as many mundane details as realistic as possible. Then when you state that "Pigs in my world do fly," they are ready to believe it since you've been truthful up to that point.

The more times you introduce story details which are inaccurate which jar the reader, the fewer things you can modify for your own ends. Losing the reader's trust is the absolute worst thing that can happen.

Not to mention you'll lose your reader's interest and they'll click on the back button to read the next story. Great titles (or the brief description) catch a reader's attention, and accurate details as well as proper spelling and grammar keep their interest up. If I see obvious typos or sentences that make no sense, I back out of a story fast! May even vote lowly on what little I had read.

Alright then, maybe he is doing a "tootsie" :p

Actually, nothing wrong with having a female nurse present.

What's a Tootsie? The only thing that comes to mind is that old Dustin Hoffman film from the early 80's.

Exactly. He's talking about "maybe the doctor is in drag to seem as a woman so he can give these women full physicals".

I guess sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Ya know, Tatewaki...

We sure do wrack up a lot of posts talking to one another on this board. ;)

(sulking) alright why don't YOU two come up with something, instead of hanging around like wet blankets on a rainy day.

Actually, I quite liked LordArthur's idea..

Stop sulking my friend, that comment about ignorance is bliss wasn't directed at you or your idea. You just happened to hit on a movie title that I absolutely hated. Only Ishtar was worse in my opinion. Actually, there were a few ideas posted here that I liked.

BTW, I did fire off a few ideas in the first reply to this thread. Are you saying that I should do more?

Oops, I actually had missed that entire paragraph somehow. It started as a question, so for some reason my mind didn't list the contents as suggestions. I am sure I read it, but all that made it to longterm memory was something like "Thats pretty sparse, blah blah, what is it you would like to see blah blah blah.." and then the next message was shooting it down too. I was thinking thats a bit heavy, so I thought I should add something cheerful.

Rereading it, your message wasn't really like that at all.

No harm, no foul.

Thanks:)

I hope this area does become more of a story brainstorming rather than requests area. Not ready to jump into major efforts at the moment, especially from a one line request and knowing it might evoke no more than a one line feedback. Also, my stuff is a niche within a niche, and I suspect I am alone in it anyway :(

btw: I actually do agree about the accuracy and research remarks, if you are trying to represent something that someone else may actually know something about, or wish to.

Don't trip over any of those sheep.

Could do stuff like checking for hernias.

"Bend over and cough" etc. etc.

Actually, I would love more stories in the vein of stuff like ROTC cadets, mainly because in my experience, girls in those blue Air Force uniforms are very sexy :*)
