I thought this idea would make a good story. A girl once told me of her curiousity about being with a woman, but didnt think she could try it. her fantasy went on about wanting to share a woman with her man, but didnt want to deal with being jealous. Her way around this would be having a clone of herself. Then it wouldnt be like being with just someone else and her boyfriend wouldnt be looking at someone else. She went on by talking about knowing what her clone would like sexually, and what she would like sexually, and taste like. I couldnt ever write this myself but wondered if someone else might like the idea also. I think it would make a hot 3some story................or maybe if it was an identical twin?

Interesting, and if you are willing, we can take this fantasy further by continuing the cloning in some kind of sexual factory, of course it would also be for biotechnology.

Nanites (macro living computers) could make the clone experience pleasure enhanced.
In fact, nanotechnology theoretically could bridge the gap between exact twins, so you can do something similar here, meaning your girlfriend can have virtual sex with you and feel and see everything her clones do to you.

By the same token, you can clone yourself, and see other women across town with her in your living room.

Just remember that a clone starts off as a baby, just like everyone else. It would never be identical to you, unless you started it when YOU were a baby, too, and gave it identical life experiences to all the ones that you'd had.

An identical twin would be more realistic. Or some sort of "transporter malfunction" creating a duplicate would be, while maybe not realistic, at least logically consistent.

It doesn't need to be logically consistent. I cloned myself, had a growth accelerator and for some sick reason performed plastic surgery to give it identical scars. Add on some big sciencey words about he brain being electronically mapped, and kablam, you've got insta-perfect clone. Hell you could even tack on some Matrix crap about you downloaded the Karma Sutra into your mind just because. Its Sci-Fi.

It doesn't have to be exactly like everyday cloning (as if we did this everyday...lol) but it would be neat. She'd come to life fully grown as if she were some kinda droid. And a twin might have different tastes but the clone would have the same kinda tastes as the gf. Story title "Me, and Me, and Him". Something like that. I'd read it... :)

Why not work off of a Prestige type concept where there is a machine that can create dopplegangers. Obviously their is alot of potential complications for a person who has a duplicate.

This woman finds the idea of sex with another woman irresistible, discovers the machine, finds that the idea of sex with self is not so different from masturbation and decides to utilize it.

But after she is done, what does she do with the extra self?

I like the idea of having a threesome with two women who are identical. Just when I thought there weren't any ideas left out there ..................By the way, are there any lit stories about a guy having sex with twins?

I think Rydia is the closest so far to what i had in mind. i do like all of the ideas though. Me being a guy though........i say lets not forget about the 3some part though. lol

The "how?" is much less important than the "what happens then?" in a story like this, so gloss over that as a Star Trek type transporter error leaving two of them at the same place and get into the story.

or a "Buffy" like 'how do we have two slayers?' solution ie: in this reality, when you die , a clone is activated. Except in this case, the rumours of death were exaggerated...

You are getting your terms mixed up.

Genetically engineered - To inject incompatible breeds with compatible solution, to help create one mixed breed when mated.
Genetically enhanced (for humans) - Biotechnology inserted which is superior to others.
Baby engineering - Picking out specific DNA to indicate the future abilities of child.
Cloning (as teen or adult) - The process of duplicating the body, and copying the mind with new mental pathways (illegal in America).
Duplicate (sci/fi) - Alternate dimension scenario.

Honestly the Buffyverse has some serious questions. Like is Buffy the Slayer at all? When Buffy dies, Kendra is activated. When Kedra dies Faith is activated When Buffy dies (vs Glory) nothing. They never seriously cover why that is. The only reasonable answer is that while Buffy retains slayer powers and is respected (by Faith herself when she grabs the axe and says "it feels like its mine, which means its yours") as the slayer, that she is infact not the Slayer and Faith is.

I suppose as much fun as the Buffyverse is/was there are a fair number of minor/major plot holes.

More on subject I agree with the who cares mentality. Multiplicity and Judge Dredd only went so far into the how and why of it and skipped to the fun stuff.

Judge Dredd was a great comic. I loved the art. I liked the movie too. And you can't explain everything in a universe, you have to leave some stuff for the imagination to fill in.

Not to say there ain't plot holes and big inconsistencies - the whole Dawn backstory was weak, why not just make her a little sister that was living with Dad (who might be in Cleveland, or might be dead, we ain't sure) rather than the whole sufdden appearance but no one notices they have no event memories with her in them bit?

But the example you pick was covered - no second slayer BECAUSE there already was a second slayer - Faith. Weak. But it was there.

The only term I used was "clone" and I used it correctly. I enjoy flights of fancy as much as the next pervert, but I can't abide muddy thinking along the way.

I know "clone" was the only term you used.
I was just letting you know what the other terms mean if you were to use them in the future.

The clone example you used, was actually baby engineering, a real and controversial process being used today (legal in a few states).
Cloning is much like building a biological android, then copying the brain of a doner, and adding new mental pathways for new experiences.

A sci/fi duplicate scenario (for both alternate dimension and timeline) is much in the same way, only by natural means (see multiple universe theory).

By the way, I said cloning a human was illegal in America, well there have been some European successes, but they were ultimately failures due to the unethical means of creating a child exactly the same as another, directing his lifestyle from conception, and the decision to even make such a synthetic lifeform.

Cloning a human is now illegal in all countries (as far as I know).

Aren't stem cells great?

Girlfriend cloned

To add another plot idea into the mix: what if the girl goes to get cloned for her and her boyfriend's sexual purposes. The company says this is a completely one off reproduction and they keep no information. However an un-ethical employee is making an extra copy or two to be sold to equally un-ethical people as sex toys/slaves etc.

I think there would be quite some room in that idea for development and would take the story beyond a simple stroke story.

Although this scenario has been done before, I don't remember it done with clones.
It sounds like a great idea though.

If anybody thinks I'm bullshitting you:

Clonaid: Birth of a Media Menace?
Some Sex With Your Clone Perhaps?
Eve must not have been the first (if at all), there was a successful atempt at cloning a human baby in Russia (but the baby died a few days or weeks later).
There was a success in cloning a human child (3 years old) in Sweden (but as a teenager, it was decided to terminate the project, which meant killing the boy.
Other countries had successes in clonings, but saw their original self, and had to be destroyed, not unlike The 6th Day with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And yes, these cases were documented in all media.
