The story I'm looking for is way in the past and starts off with a girl being humiliated in her home village, the town police makes her stand naked in front of the whole town and drink a lot of water where she is then forced to piss in front of everyone, a guy then helps her by telling her that she can leave the town, by wearing this locked thing around her neck and walking naked as a type of pilgrimage, the law of the land is not to harm anyone or talk to anyone who does this. She then comes to a temple/church eventually where she works there. Anyone know this story?

I am certain I've read the story you described, just don't remember the title. And the author has so many similar stories that it would take long to check them all. I think it's The Girl With No Name. But definitely one of the author's stories.
