Ok,...I've bought a LOT of concert tickets in the past and I know for the most part it's a scam with vendors, and corporations getting dibs on good prefered seating.....which blows...but thats the way it is.

Now.....Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10am for Elton John and Billy Joel here in Detroit. Do you think I would be better off going to a ticketmaster outlet, getting there really early and waiting for them to open, and ordering tix at 10 or as soon after as I can.....or....doing it online....Has anyone tried buying tix online at the time they go on sale knowing full well this show will sell out in a half hour probably?

Did you get through?

Gimme some Ideas....I want decent seats but will settle for whatever I suppose...I just dont want to get shut out online......

Thanks.....David

If you order online, you'll get the seats in whatever price range you choose, picked by a computer based on what's available. Then you have to go find the diagram of the staging area to see if you lucked out. You'll only have 5 minutes to confirm so you better know ahead of time where you want to sit.

If you want to be sure, you better go in person.

Can't answer your question, but I used to get good seats for Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls by joining their fan clubs. They gave first dibs on the good seats to their members.

Yeah....see....******* I am worried about lag time after I click the seats even if I can log in....it's going to sell out in no more than a half hour......I think I'll go wait in line.........the other thing is....well it used to be this way not sure if it is anymore....but the venues start selling tix earlier than other ticketmaster outlets........like Hudsons/ Marshall fields whatever.....ugh.....tix are 100 bux too and thats not for the premo seats either.....
