Does *giggle* and *giggles* annoy anyone else? Or am I the only one?

My 7 year old daughter giggles..

Do adults really giggle? Or is this just a "way to be cute" on the net?

Discuss please

Personally I only use *giggle* when I want to imply an impish quality to my response. It's not the real me, just an indicator of the tone of my message. ANd I rarely use it.

I *giggle* all the time in r/l it's just my natural laugh...

Makes me feel like I'm 13...:(

Is there something wrong with me? I don't giggle.. I laugh. But I don't remember ever giggling.

How does one titter?

I seldom *giggle* on the board. I sometimes do in chat with a friend of mine, but with her I giggle in real life. I find that I really DO giggle tho. There's a few who've heard me. And I sound like a junior high cheerleader when I do. Or so I've been told.

:)

Don't take this wrong.. but I imagine you have a "cute" voice in real life. So giggling is probably ok for you. ;)

I'm not too keen on *giggles*. I probably do occasionally gigle IRL, but typing it just seems weird to me.

I can't stand the word huggles either. Why can't people just type "hugs"? I don't get it.

Yep I do have a cute voice, or so I've been told.

(damn now I have the urge to *giggle*)

Meth has the most evil giggle in the world.

On line, there's enough icons and shit that I don't see the point. But that's just me.

yep.. huggles bugs me too. When I see *huggles* and *giggles* I stop reading. It reminds me of a little kid. It's one of the main reasons I left chat rooms. That and "asl?".

Real life giggles don't bother me. It's the whole net thing. It's super annoying to me.

Cybergirly.. I bet your giggle is adorable. Go ahead and giggle all you like. Just please don't post it ;)

I giggle a lot in real life. The giggles are always either preceded or followed by a big smile (sometimes both) every time.
