Am I terrible person because watching my granddaughters squabble over who got the McDonalds Gift card with Johnny Dep's picture on it and who got the one with Orlando Bloom's picture (as their characters in Pirates of The Carribean 2) caused a plot bunny about gift cards that were redeemable for the celebrity pictured on them instead of Happy Meals (tm)?

:D Now, do they make AH gift cards?

No reason why AH Gift Cards aren't possible; most of us have printers even if we don't have the encoders to put magnetic strips on the cards. :p

I have read several stories that feature "home-made coupons" for various situations as gifts, but the plot bunny that struck me was more of a sci-fi kind of "gift card" scenario where "celebrities" were actually for sale like fast food.

I wouldn't call you a terrible person. :) We all get our inspiration from different places. I got inspiration seeing my oldest granddaughter from the side and behind. The result: "My Granddaughter's Ass". I saw two of my wife's cute nieces. The result: "My Cute Nieces", all four parts.

Everyone seems to think it's just fine for you to jump on this plot bunny, don't they? Just in case you were hoping to be severely chastised. . . shame, shame, shame! (I think it's fine, too, but I didn't want you to be standing there waiting for a public flogging and be disappointed.)

I guess this is where the phrase 'Flavor of the Month' would fit nicely.

Harlan Ellison did a sci-fi story once about everyone having a 'cardioplate' in their heart, and if the state cancelled it, you were dead.

Could be an incentive for the 'celebrities' to cooperate.

Go for it, WH.

Sounds like a story's a'bornin'.

Peace.

By the way, I don't think I ever heard about a "plot bunny" before.

Plot bunnies are related to dust bunnies, but are found inside authors' heads. :p

I want Johnny Depp. Seriously- send me one of those fantasy cards and let me have some fun- I need someone who understands the utter lack of moral fiber and the pursuit of one's own happiness.

It could be fun.

Now, this is what I'd call a kind and caring response! :D
