I'm guessing you're asking about animated GIFs, because no-animated GIFs are no harder to resize than any other image format.

I don't resize animated GIFs very often because it's usually more work than it's worth, but I uses JASC sftware's "Animation Shop" when I do mess with them.

Animation Shop works in conjunction with Paint Shop Pro to build or resize animated GIFs frame by frame.

Take them to GifWorks.com and you can resize, crop, remove tranparancy, change colors, tons of stuff there.

OR, try MyImager.com Basically the same sort of setup, but MyImager has a few more bells and whistles when you dig into the finer settings. I would recomend Gifworks if you just need a simple resize and/or to crop an image, but like i said, both are very similar, and both are quite simple to use.

If you need any additional help, just PM me and i'll either do a .gif for ya, or help ya to learn the ropes at either place.
