Giant Sea Monster discovered by scientists in Scandanavia?!

CNN's "Bloop"

CNN just reported about a "Bloop" (I'm not kidding) sound American scientists heard deep in the ocean that they (the scientists) conclude must be, of course: a sea monster!
Because when I hear something go "bloop", I know the first thing I think of is a sea monster.
Damn Right.
Mmmhmm.

sometimes I really hate sarcasm. No there is no concrete evidence, but given the fruitless searches in the over-rated hype-fest that is The Loch Ness its good to see just because that lake is a fraud that they haven't given up on the concept altogether and that they are looking into other claims in other lakes. Given this is the first day they are doing pretty good so far in my estimation all things taken into account. Don't tell them how to do their job and they won't tell you how to do yours. I assume an expert in his field like there marine biologists have much more credibility judging sounds made by animals then you would for example.

Just a little thing for you to chew on, for HUNDREDS of years academia in their ivory towers laughed at sailors and fisherman that spoke of the dreaded Kraken until a little over a hundred and fifty years ago or so when they blue-collar little guys in their ships proved all the stuffy shirts wrong by finally proving their "myths" to be true. Skeptics like them and you are busy riding desks on land miles from the ocean while the sailors were crewing the boats and seeing these "legends" with their own eyes! And today the Kraken has been officially recognizes as being the Giant Squid (Architeuthis dux). Until that happened, people like you laughed at them and called them drunks, liars, and other names, well guess what? They got the last laugh in the end!

If anyone dares to suggest that Siren is a sea monster, they will have me to answer to !

alphacat

BTW alphacat, CNN sucks donkey balls compared to the BBC.

Azwed, Norway, Finland, and Sweden all have navies with a long and distinguished history. Where the hell do you think the Vikings came from anyway, Ecuador? Scandinavians practically invented seafaring along with the Etruscans, Greeks, Myceneans, and a few other standard bearers for sea exploration, commerce, and of course, PIRACY! :) Scandinavians were raiding the seven seas long before the USA ever became a country.

In modern times in fact, after WW2 which destroyed much of the armed forces of Western Europe Norway and Sweden were one of the most powerful navies in all of Europe. They even had coastal Battleships in their fleets.

Azwed has a navy? How come he gets one?

Basques are also well-known seafarers, as are Polynesians and Spaniards too. You'd think with all those and Vikings in my ancestry I'd be able to have a navy too :p

*petitions for a navy*

LOL

Oh my god, that is funny! Bad punctuation mistake, that's what that is (combined with my sour mood of having to get up really early tomorrow for my crappy job). I should have used a semi-colon or something like this:

Azad;

Then blah, blah, blah, ect...

But I didn't and that's why I suck at English! lol

I am part Norwegian too (that explains my love for King Oscar sardines) and I don't have a navy either unless a paddleboat with a BB gun in the back is considered a "Fast-Attack Craft" these days! lol

Now you're scaring me. I'll have to borrow my dad's canoe and use my 9mm to play this game.

whoa dude I was kidding.

I know they all have navys. I have seen pictures of some of their ships before. They have diesel/electric subs like the Japanese do along with an assortmant of smaller surface ships.

In Kansas, we have a method of fishing ponds that would solve the Loch Ness riddle once and for all...

My maternal side of the family had a lot of men of the sea from places like Scandanavia whom obvioulsy had a navia...
