I submitted a couple of mine a few days ago, how long does it take for the process and does it show that it’s going through a process?? Mine are still showing draft, am I doing something wrong or no?? Thanks in advance for any and all help!!!!!

The time from submission to posting varies. It's been as low as 2 days, and as high as a week.

But if your submissions are still shown as drafts, then they haven't been submitted. You need to click on the Drafts tab, open each story, scroll to the bottom, select the "Preview" button, and then scroll down to the bottom again and select "Submit".

Your submissions should then move from "Drafts" to "Pending".

Hum. My own story has been "pending" for a few weeks, now. (Definitely not draft, everything submitted properly, etc.)

I got in touch with the admins & memberhelp both--no response from anyone. And the story hasn't been rejected / returned.

Not sure whether to read anything into that or not.

Send a PM to Laurel - that is the only way to contact her - and ask for status. A 'few weeks' is definitely too long - the story has got lost somewhere.

Newbies usually take 5 - 7 days to get a story posted, and there is a contest running (contest stories get priority) so a bit longer, maybe, right now.

Thanks, electricblue66--I've pm'd Laurel, we'll see what comes of it.

Could be the story is too dark. I've already posted it a couple other places, but I appreciate the feedback I get from Literotica the most, so I'm hoping they'll allow it here.

Providing it meets the site guidelines (no under 18, no bestiality, no rape) darkness is immaterial.

Assuming always that the story satisfies Punctuation 101...

I have submitted three in the past week. They each took three days.

But there is a contest going on, and for new authors it might take longer.

Before the contest it only took two days, but I've been posting here for years. :D

Is it an audible or illustrated story? Those take longer to post. Otherwise, that seems like an awfully long time, even during a contest.

If it's not an original work, that could be some kind of copyright problem.

It's original to me (I.e., I wrote it, it's not plagiarized, I own it, etc.). Nothing sketchy there. I did get it published on two other erotica sites, but I still own the story, so I don't see the conflict. And just a plain old text story, too, so no formatting issues (e.g., itals). Just in limbo. I sent PMs to both Manu and Laurel, still haven't heard back. Been polite, non-trolling, etc. So, just confused.

It _could_ be that my story is simply just too awesome to see the light of day, but that seems about as likely a prospect as me having wings and being given a Nobel prize in literature.

Anyways . . . dunno. Hope to hear something soon from someone, even if it's just a rejection.

Give it 3 or 4 days and if the status hasn't changed PM Laurel again. It's the only way and she has a lot to look after.
