"The problem isn't that he's dumb, far from it," the older woman told you as you both stood by the notice peg board at the local supermarket. She was dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans with a large purse slung over her shoulder, her two five year old twins were playing nearby and was pushing a full shopping cart.

She'd stopped and inquired when she saw the paper you were pinning to the cork peg board advertising yourself as a local college student who was looking to tutor in the neighborhood.

"See, at the start of his junior year Tommy was valedictorian of his class and never missed a play try out." The woman shook her head. "And then he hit his growth spurt last Christmas. He's probably the biggest kid in school now, he joined the wrestling team and won the state championship last year. This summer he went out for football and he plays the centerfielder position. He's got college scouts talking to him everyweekend and I'm so glad we won't have to pay for his college, but there's a problem."

The woman looked over at the twins and told them to come play closer to mommy. Then she returned her attention to you.

"Tommy doesn't care about his classes anymore. He's not doing homework and skipping classes. He says he's not doing drugs, and he admits to drinking in the off season, which isn't that bad, I had a few drinks at parties when I was his age, but don't tell him that." The woman shared a conspiratorial wink. "He thinks he's going to be in the NBA and play football for a living, and he probably is, but if he gets injured or, heaven forbid, in a car accident, well then he won't be able to play and without an education... I don't want my son to have that life."

"Mr. Svenson is in Iraq right now, otherwise he'd handle this with the switch. Tommy isn't quite as big as his daddy yet. But I've tried talking sense into Tommy, but he's young and popular for the first time and doesn't want to listen. So I was thinking that, well, I was hoping you could help." You start to reply but Mrs. Svenson cuts you off.

"It's just that you're a very good looking young woman and he's, well, virile. You wouldn't have to do much, just wear something, uhm, well, lowcut." Mrs. Svenson blushed.

"I'll pay you double your going rate. It won't take more then a session or two. He's a proud boy, like his father, and once he remembers how much he loves being the smartest person in the room I'm sure he'll take to scholastics again without needing a, ahem, marketing plan from his mother. We can start tonight if you want I'll get the other kids out of the house."

Tommy stood at the door, six foot seven inches of scandinavian muscle. He had curly brown hair that came down to his neck and bright blue eyes. He was dressed in a t-shirt that was a little tight so it could showcase his sculpted chest, and jeans that were loose on him. He didn't want to restrict bloodflow to anything vital.

"Come on Mom, I was going to go over Steve's house. I've already put the trash out and I'll do the dishes when I get back tonight."

Mrs. Svenson called down from upstairs. "No, I told you I hired a tutor for you. They'll be here shortly."

"Mom I don't need a tutor," the 18 year old giant replied.

"You bring home a report card with all C's and one A in Gym and you expect me to believe you don't need a tutor."

Tommy moved to the bottom of the stairwell. "That wasn't a report card it was a progress report. I'll turn that around in no time, don't worry."

Mrs. Svenson appeared at the top of the stairs with the twins in tow. "You'll never turn those grades around by going out with your jock friends."

Tommy moved out of the way as she started down the stairs. "Mom, its friday night, I can study Saturday and Sunday."

Mrs. Svenson tapped her son's chest with her forefinger. "You can study Friday night too. Or do you want me to tell your father about this in my next email?"

Tommy sighed, his whole body seemed to deflate. He shook his head. "No mom," he replied drearily.

"Now, the twins are staying over a friend's house, Johnny is out with your cousins and will be sleeping there tonight. I'm taking Samantha and Rick to dinner and then to see that new Transformers movie. We probably won't be back until 1 am. Take advantage of this situation and get some studying done. Does that make sense to you?"

"Yes Mom," Tommy grumbled.

"Good." The doorbell rang. "Get that, its probably your tutor." Mom headed into the kitchen with the twins.

"Yes Mom," Tommy said loudly and grumbled, "probably some bucktoothed science geek from the university who's idea of Friday night is watching Monty Python and playing World of Warcraft." Ironically, two years ago that was Tommy's idea of a good Friday night.

He opened the door and his jaw dropped. He was looking at a beautiful girl.

"Uh, Hi," Tommy finally managed.

Emily- 21 yo will be returning to college this fall is an A student except she has refused to take her PE type classes, she always hated those.
She has blond, wavey hair down to near her waist, which is small. She stands 5' 5" modest breasts and a pretty face.

She did not really believe the woman when she said her son was smart but tutoring was tutoring and she needed the money.

She wore a skirt about 3/4 of the way down her thighs and a blouse with a scooped neck the just hinted at the cleavage.

When the door was oened she saw a gaint of a guy. She thought no wander he is getting scouts and not all from college at that size. If he could do more then grin time would tell.

She held out her hand to him she spoke softly, "hello, I'm Emily and I understand you need a bit of tutoring."

Tommy stood at the door for a solid minute and a half trying to form some semblence of a reply. He managed to stutter a few times and look like an exceptionally large and well muscled doofus until Mrs. Svenson stepped back into the hallway from the kitchen without the twins.

"Oh good you're here Emily. I'm glad to see you've met Tommy," she gave her son a swat on the arm. "Well don't just stand there Tommy, invite the poor girl in." Mrs. Svenson shook her head and turned to Emily. "I raised him better I swear. You too can study in the living room." She turned back to her son and pointed her finger up at him and sternly said, "Now go get your books!"

"But Ma!"

"No lip young man, or I'll show your father that report card. Now scoot!"

Tommy sighed and headed up stairs.

Emily smiled at the older woman. "I understand, my mom has been having trouble with my brothers, too. They seem to think that the minute there is no other male around they get to slack off."

She went into the living room and sat down on the sofa and waited for the boy. She might need to give him some encouagement. With luck she might actually be able to get him through high school with respectable grades.

She understood the feeling of a mother wanting better for her child. After meeting him she just was not sure how much could be expected of a dreamy male.

Mrs. Svenson shook her head. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Though, as stubborn as my son is, he's more of a mule." She sighed, throwing her hands up in exasperation.

"Well Emily, you're my only hope. I'm leaving with the other kids now, and we won't be back until later, probably around 1 am. You certainly don't have to stay that long, but do get him to start studying, whatever it takes. Tommy really is a good boy, somewhere in that overgrown body." Mrs. Svenson shook her head and called the other children.

Amidst a cacophony of shouts and complaints she was able to get the kids out the front door with a minimum of punching and poking each other. Seven minutes later Emily heard a car start up in the front yard, presumably mrs. Svenson was able to shepherd her shildren into the full size van parked in the driveway and left with little incident.

It was a few minutes more before she heard a stomping down the stairs the floor shaking slightly as the sound got louder. Tommy came around the corner carrying a blue L.L. Bean bookbag that was full to overflowing. He dropped it on the coffee table, a few papers spilling out. He shook his head, just like his mother had ten minutes earlier. He turned his attention to Emily and smiled awkwardly. It would be hard not to notice his attention slipping down to her cleavage.

"Uh, I, uh, guess this is it. I'm not really sure why Mom hired a tutor, but I guess I should give you a go." He stopped for a second, blinking, a deep red blush filling his cheeks, "what I meant to say was give you a go, uh, that is, uh, I mean it a go, the tutoring, not you as, uh, I mean I meant not an inanimate object, but the tutoring, we, not going..."

Tommy covered his face with a hand that was too large even for his gigantic frame, and shook his head. He flopped down on the couch, shaking the floor again.

"Whatever." He said angrily and dismissively, ostensibly looking anywhere but at Emily as his cheeks got redder.

(sorry it took so long I missed this thread a few times, not on purpose)

Deep down Emily was surprised that the boy had manged to get c's the way has was behaving but she knw she needed to put him at ease.

She smiled and took both of Tommy hands in hers and and pulled then away from his face.

"I know that you dont think of me as an ojbect. Im a person. Just a simple every day, slightly lonely person."

She squezzed his hands gently. "Now take a couple of deep breaths and put every thing between us behind you and we can start over."

She took her hands away. Then smiled at him, Holding out one hand. "Hello, my name is Emily, I am here to help you with your school work."
