I'm surprised nobody has replied to this thread. You would think there would be experts in a place like this.

Well...some people bleach anal hair but if you really want to remove it try waxing or hair removal lotions. I use Veet. But mainly because I don't like feeling hair there.

I'm sure more experienced people should have better answers for you.

I gotta admit. I want to do this too. But I'm to ashamed to go get Veet or some other hair removal product and super embarrassed to ask my partner to get it.

No offence, but man up dude. Among the things that I've bought for women through the years are tampons, yeast infection meds, intimate shaving cream, panties, nail polish remover, and more. No one gives any of it a second glance.

Well, almost no one ... The best by far was picking up party supplies. My wife had gotten a kids Pinata, and I got the rest. She asked me to pick up condoms while I was out, because we had used the last one the night before. At the checkout counter I had some duct tape, rope, a baseball bat, and a box of condoms. The gal behind the register tried not to make eye contact

The salons routinely wax the anal regions, so I tried it with a DIY package of waxing strips. It works effectively and virtually painlessly. I bought the large strips and cut them into quarters. One strip directly over the anus does a great job there. I was concerned doing it there, but it was fine. For rest of the surrounding area, just apply the strips and pull in the opposite direction of the hair growth. I'm sure it looks ridiculous, but it's possible to do a pretty good job by squatting over a hand mirror. Afterwards, use some coconut oil to remove the wax in the shower, and then use some soap to remove the coconut oil.

The region is virtually painless to wax for me. My wife waxed my back once and it was very painful.

Yes, it seems gross and weird, but what's grosser? Waxing or being hairy down there. Being a guy, I get hairier all over each year. It's much easier to keep clean and hygienic without the hair down there.

EDIT: To address why? Hygiene. Odors. Hair is really good at absorbing odors. I don't want anything to discourage my wife from having her mouth anywhere on my body.

You could pick it up and go o self checkout. If it really bothers you say it's for your girlfriend or something.

A box of strips is about $8. With hair removal cream, the hair keeps growing and you'll have stubble within days. With the waxing strips, the hair is gone, and takes a while before new hairs appear again. When the hair does grow back, it starts off thin, instead of the tree stumps you get after shaving. Shave

I shave it every other day in the shower. I soap up and use one hand to pull the but cheek apart and reach up and shave it with the good multi blade Gillette fusion. I have never cut myself. Same for my balls.
