Two weeks ago, my story, "Violent World fo Vicky Brown" was posted. It has received only eight votes, so now it will sit unseen even though it has a score of 4.70.

Since then, I have had two other stories posted. At the bottom of both stories, "Queen Bee," and "Grand Charade," I added the words, - Please Vote.

What a difference that has made in the number of votes. Both have double the number of votes my stories usually generate in the same time period.

Hey, good idea!

My only entry in the 'Romance' category, Meg, was stuck on 8 votes for weeks, but I finally begged enough people to vote to pass the 10 mark. She came into the showing with a 4.64 average from 11 votes, and promptly plummetted to 4.10 from 20, although she has recovered to 4.25, but still only from 28 votes.

I do wonder what might have happened had I followed your simple idea. I wonder too if not only had I added 'Please vote', but also 'Please tell me what you think of my efforts'.

"There, you have your precious slavery, little good may it do you! now VOTE, damn you!"--John Adams to Edward Rutledge in the movie "1776".

I was thinking I could add this to the bottom of any BDSM stories I might write.
