Getting in the mood...for Christmas!

Well The chritmas tree went up in the EL household last night. This was the first year Beth was really able to help in puting it up She had a grand time. We made sbowflakes to put on the wall behind the christmas tree then Mummy and Daddy were up till 1am hanging tinsel and such to finish off the front room.

Now I truely feel Christmassy.


So then what get's you in the mood for Christmas?

I dug out the wreath frame last night. Next, try to buy some good clipped branches to fill it out.

Love that smell of evergreen in the apartment!

No, I'd rather risk serious eye damage from being cross-eyed.

Since our family is pretty much torn apart, family, reunions, christmass-tree-decorating does not bring me into christmas mood.

I'm getting 'x-massy' by crystal-cold weather, snow, cookies, hot chocolate and some nice, subtle lights outside on the houses.

And of course watching 'Love Actually...' on DVD. This will become a ritual every christmas,

snoop - my parents are recently divorced so the family aspect of christmas is definitely not the same now. Though having a hyper 3 year old so excited about christmas does help the christmas spirit considerably.

Christmas with little kids just rocks. (Even though they can get annyoing during the long 'waiting for santa' period)

I just hope that someday there will be small Snoopies that I can share christmas with....*dreaming*

Christmas Eve we go to the NORAD site and track Santa...it's great because when he hits the east coast of the States the kids run to bed.
