I am so green here it's pathetic! I would love
get some feedback on a few of my poems and want
to make it easy for you, but how do I find out what the urls are for them? And what's the trick
to getting more people to vote? What feedback I
have gotten is great but would like to have more.
Thanks for your help.

If you are using Internet Explorer, go to your author's page (either by logging in on the story index page as you did to submit your poems, or by searching members for your author name from the story index page.

Right click on the link to your story and select "copy shortcut."

Come back to this forum, and paste the shortcut into a message and make sure that "Automatically parse URLs:" is checked before submitting.

If youwant to get fancier and do a true hyperlink to your story, see the URL tag instructions in the vB Code help page.

If you are NOT using Internet Explorer, check to see if your browser options includes showing an "address bar." If it does, go to your poem, and copy the URL from the address bar.

Here's how I do it, and I am totally computer illiterate - so if i can get it to work, so can you!

Every internet page you go to has an address, or URL. I have Internet Explorer, so I can't tell you where other addresses are located on your screen if you don't have IE, but with IE it's at the bottom of my toolbar, or near the top of my screen. Just find your poem, point your mouse on the address and left click once, and it should turn blue. Now hold down the "Ctrl" button and the letter "C" on your keyboard. Then go to the page where you are wanting to paste the URL, point your mouse where on the page you want to paste it, click the mouse, then hold down "Ctrl" and the letter "V". Ta-da! You've just pasted your URL!

Believe me, I had no idea you could do this until recently, and I've been using a computer for a couple years now! I feel like I'm still in kindergarten when it comes to computers, while WH and some of the others on here are in grad school!

Good luck,
EOD
