Hurricanes on the east coast. Quakes on the west coast. Anything brewing in the middle yet?

Or you could allcome here. A 3.0 quake caused some major headlines last week. It was the larges quiver in 100years, or something like that.

Looks pretty good to me.

I think the time has finally come. Mother Nature is sick of us humans messing up the joint and she's gonna clean house.

Dran, it's 'Dita and them up in NoCal that gotta worry. We here in 'Dago rarely have anything hit us that is more than amusing. Northridge was scary a few years back, but San Jose is far enough away that Luc and I didn't even feel it.

Check out a map. Please don't take that wrong but pull out a map and ruler and measure and convert San Diego to San Jose.
It is a loooong way. People who live in other parts of the states often forget how much bigger the western states are.

Earthquakes are not something I worry about. Now, last October I spent a Sunday on my mom's roof with a hose doing a lot of praying and talking with the neighbors who were on their roofs with hoses about how close we would let the fire get before we got down and ran. At one point there was fire within a quarter mile in a 180' view, with only one way south to get out of it. Me and the neighbor Keith kept saying things like, "if it reaches the swing set on the Cooksey's hill, we get down." Swing set gets scorched and we say, "If it reaches the Moore's fence, we go", etc.

The fire got within about 50 meters and was turned by the firefighters. That day I was scared.

And the next time I saw the guys from the local fire station come in to my place of business I stood up from my desk and gave them a standing ovation. Too often we overlook the real heroes.

Well, up here in the Pacific NW, we've got Mt. St. Helens rumbling ... how about a volcanic eruption to add to the mix?

Get out the placards and the paint. THE END IS NIGH!!!!!
