I was interested in this after hearing a story about Elon Musk moving a Tesla plant to Germany and the potential Unions problems he will have in Germany. Currently, he underpays his employees and puts them at risk with poor safety and working conditions.

What impressed me was the German Unions and how successful they are...

German Standard of living and pay is among the highest in the world.

German paid time off is 30days with an additional 2 weeks of vacation leave. (That is 6 weeks!)

German work week for union jobs is 28.5 hours.

The auto company owners are still very rich, just a little less than in other countries.

This used to be the case in the United States but American car company executives and boards abandoned the American worker.
