Brought to you by the folks who reduced the number of voting locations, voting hours and the elimination of mail in ballots and signed under a slave plantation painting.

Once in the voting line, no matter how long it takes your not allowed to drink or eat.

I think the voting line is exactly the place to bear arms, wear a glock, should an AR-15 and then order some food from Grub Hub to be delivered in the line.

Let's then see how enforcement of this absurd voter suppression law is gonna be enforced.

Rise up Georgia, rise up!

Oh look who has a problem with democracy and common sense regulations all of a sudden!!

And you want to get rid of the filibuster.....LOL

.
Restrict absentee and mail in voting, reduce the number of polling places, create the conditions that result in hours long lines, and then prohibit humanitarian acts to facilitate citizens ability to complete their civic right to vote.

Voter suppression???

Nah

This is obviously a measure intended to starve white people out of their vote, since voter ID will already keep POCs from voting, they not being at all capable of obtaining such arcane documents. This is why POCs never drive, board planes, cash checks, buy Sudafed, purchase firearms, rent hotel rooms, etc.

Other than driving you don't need the same ID to do any of that other stuff.

You'd be surprised at how many people never do either.

At least 42 million black people don't, since they cannot possibly decrypt the white man's byzantine process for obtaining such documentation.

As a matter of fact, yes. Think about it: how easy do you think it is to find a birth certificate from 60+ years ago from the wrong side of the color line in the Jim Crow South? Not to mention that even if they have all the documentation they need, they also need to have access to the state offices to apply for an ID, and since the Voting Rights Act was gutted in 2013, a lot of those offices have closed in heavily Black areas. This is not a coincidence.

Of course! That's why no black people over age 60 have ever voted, especially in the South. That's why, say, John Lewis never went to Congress. Or Cynthia McKinney. Or scores of others....cuz dem po' coloreds jus' caint figger it out wifout you kind white folk a-heppin' 'em.

No one said it was the case with ALL Southern Blacks. A few exceptions don't prove anything.

No you don’t.

In a narrow sense, you're right. I live in a state whose driver's licenses don't yet meet the requirements of the REALl ID Act, but I won't be able to use it come October unless the state begins issuing them in accordance with that Act.

But I still have to show a government ID and if you think getting a DL is an insurmounable challenge, try getting one of the others on this list:

And again, you’re still wrong. No one needs a government ID (whatever that means)to board a plane.

From the TSA's own website:

"Adult passengers 18 and over must show valid identification at the airport checkpoint in order to travel."

You'll get it the day 16 year-olds are voting. Anyone of voting age - the subject of this thread - has to show an ID listed in that link I provided.

And you’re still wrong because you didn’t read the website or what you posted. What you posted says must have a valid ID, never specified that it had to be a driver’s license. If you had continued reading the website you would see all the other acceptable forms of ID and you would have seen the exemptions.

Sorry, no way around this one, you’re wrong.
