George Orwell would have vomited because of this election

George Orwell wrote 1984.

This election proved his point.

People voted for an abomination inhabiting a human body, because they would not heed information and change an alliance.

Millions voted Reublican because that is what they always have done.

Others swallowed poisonous lies, as if the were proven facts.

The lies were repeated for years, until the propaganda caused people to enthusiastically call for the deaths of the victms.

The United States of America is soon to be headed by a man that has no respect for the truth.

He does not hesitate to lie. The reality of events, facts, and the technology of record keeping, have no effect on him.

He tells several versions of the same story. His "spokespeople" add more versions.

("Trump later appeared to walk the statement back, though his position has been hard to pin down.")

He was perfectly comfortable with using alternative false identities when speaking with journalists.

If he cannot deny proof, he attacks the person that spoke the truth.

He is spiteful.

He is unprincipled.

He has no conscience.

No concern for the people that he will be responsible for.

No concept of compassion.

No concept of empathy.

He does not care. The people that drank his hate speech greedily, do not care. The people that cast a vote for him, do not care.

This is a man that gathered White Supremists and White Nationalists as supporters.

Haters.

Our new president encouraged hate. "Aren't they the worst ?"

To those that resent anyone that is not white, freedom is slavery.
Freedom for other races and religions, is the slavery of political correctness, to them.

To the man that won the election, ignorance is strength. He praised his followers, "I love the poorly educated!"

"We won the evangelicals," he said. "We won with young, we won with old, we won with highly educated, we won with poorly educated — I love the poorly educated. We're the smartest people, we're the most loyal people."

(Trump, graduated from an Ivy League school, Wharton School of Business. Where does "we" have any meaning, in connection with being poorly educated ? He is not one of them. But, he is willing to say what they want to hear. The underlying message is that Trump does not have respect for anyone, and is willing to play to the side of their personalities that is anti-social and destructive, and hateful.)

War is Peace ?

How much peace, will here be in the United States, after he becomes President ?

He does not seem to have an interest in anything, besides insults, revenge, theft, and money.

At this moment, men are assaulting everyone on the list they were given by Trump.

Their explanation for their sexual assaults, is that "Trump does it, and he is President."

People have been filling the streets with protests against his future position as president.

Not much peace, there.

Doublethink

Hypocrisy, but with a twist. Rather than choosing to disregard a contradiction in your opinion, if you are doublethinking, you are deliberately forgetting that the contradiction is there. This subtlety is mostly overlooked by people using the accusation of "doublethink" when trying to accuse an adversary of being hypocritical - but it is a very popular word with people who like a good debate along with their pints in the pub.

The Extreme Alt Right have blocks to their critical thinking.

There is nothing to block this crushing pressure, that arrived with the election results.

Everything has changed, in an instant.

Tainted was the word the Republican campaign used for Hillary Clinton.

She was tainted by the men that persecuted her, and much of the words in the dictionary have been tainted by a monster that never should have been allowed near President Obama.

This election proved his point.

You haven't read or at least understood 1984 in the slightest.

It's a travesty that a political shill who posts f grade propaganda like you do would invoke the name of the late great George Orwell.

You disgust me. You are an ignorant, lying buffoon who will say anything to promote your deeply vile candidate.

You utterly repellent creep.

I search for meaning and clarity in underguy's post, to no avail. Maybe I will try again some other day.

I see his win as a combination of two things: selfishness (the people who knew better, but voted anyway for their single issue cause) and racism (everyone else.)

Selfishness + racism = White Amerika (Dumbfuckistan)

They're angry and they're miserable and they're looking for someone to blame. They lack love and empathy and humanity. They have completely empty souls, which are occasionally filled only with bullshit religion or material things.

They see the world changing and they don't understand it. They don't get it. It frightens them. They glommed onto Trump from the very beginning because he offered a single answer: the Other.

Call it Muslims; Hillary; NAFTA; the biased media; rapist Mexicans; illegitimate black Presidents; corrupt politicians, the list goes on and on. It's the Other, and I promise to get rid of it. I allow you to come out and express your fear as hatred. It's an easy answer. It's the one they were thinking all along, but he was the one to say it.

And now they are drunk on power. They all have a big huge hard on. Finally. And they're going to want some spoils. Now it's a question of who they're going to fuck.

At least, that's what they think. They think they elected their own little remote-controlled minion, acting on their whim. They will not take kindly when he turns around and fucks them. Badly, I might add.

I don't see where it's going to go when they wake up and find it wasn't true. There is no Other. The ones they thought were the cause of their problems weren't. Crooked Hillary is a fiction made up by Fox News, and implanted in their brains. They'll have nowhere else to go, no one else to blame. What will they do?

Look at all the raving lunatics here who have formed their entire identities around hating Hillary. It is truly instructive to see. What would they be without it? How will they define themselves? It's over; she's gone, and they're STILL obsessed with her. They think about Hillary more than her supporters did, more than Hillary does. They can't let her go. Four years from now, 8, they'll STILL think they're lives have meaning, as long as they fucked Hillary. Not realizing that it's over. It served its purpose. She never existed, except to produce a Trump. They're useless shells. Maybe they'll turn on Hannity once in a while to try and get some of the same thrill that has defined their adult lives, but even he will have dropped it. It was nothing but a ploy to stop her from winning.

You lost to Trump because your lot are so repulsive that people didn't or wouldn't vote for your vile, corrupt representative.

Take ownership of it.
'
This could have been written for you.

The Democratic and the professional elites are an easy and often amusing target. One could see them, in another era, prancing at a masked ball at Versailles on the eve of the revolution. They are oblivious to how hated they have become. They do not understand that when they lambast Donald Trump as a disgrace or a bigot they swell his support because they, not Trump, are seen by many Americans as the enemy. But these courtiers did not create the system. They sold themselves to it.

I think it's safe to say that a good number of the people who voted for Trump did so in order to vote against Hillary. And you can say the same for her supporters. Many of them voted against Trump, rather than for her.

It's a shame this should be so, but that's what happens when rotten candidates win major party nominations. :(

I see his win a

Own it dumb fuck.

Bernie At DNC Now The Most Heartbreaking Video Of 2016

You look down on the Trump supporters like they don't understand anything. And maybe they don't understand that they may not be better off under Trump.

But you don't understand that they don't care. And you don't understand that those [people have been screwed by your champions for decades and people have had enough.

You're a hypocrite and just as dumb a fuck as the people you are judging.

I think we can look at this as the American Election System elected the one candidate the seemed the least evil of the choices allowed by the Establishments.

Trump has been selected least evil, it is time to acknowledge that and wonder if it could be true?

Will he challenge the Establishments as he said he would or will he like Obama be cowed by the power of the Dark Lords?

Or will he live to tell the tale, with Mike the Silver Tongued, surely the choice of the Establishment, is only one "lone gunman" away from the ultimate Trifecta?

Jesus Christ, unplug from Fox for 5 seconds. Unplug. Take the chip out.

You do realize you're just repeating what Hannity's been foaming at the mouth for 20 years? Corrupt! She's corrupt! The drumbeat of propaganda. You believe it heart and soul. Good for you. You've got Fox talking heads spewing shit out of every orifice.

Congrats, you signed your brain away

George Orwell would have vomited because of this election

If this election would have been the first ever vomit trigger for him, then he's a bigger fool than I ever could have imagined. Based on his work, the vomit trigger should have first occurred many, many years ago.

This election proved his point.

The world around him in 1948 proved his point. He was simply too ingrained with doublethink to see it. Just like everyone else who scoffs at the notion of Social Darwinism. Orwell may have shown technology bringing it to its final form, but the Social Darwinist system based around his coinage had been in existence long before his grandparents were even a notion.

People voted for an abomination inhabiting a human body, because they would not heed information and change an alliance.

Which candidate are we talking about now? The problem with American Politics, or the problem with American Culture?

Millions voted Reublican because that is what they always have done.

Just as there are millions who voted Democrat because that is what they always have done.

All things that were going on in Washington well before Trump made his play for politics. Funny how you're only complaining now.

He is spiteful.

He is unprincipled.

He has no conscience.

No concern for the people that he will be responsible for.

No concept of compassion.

No concept of empathy.

He does not care.

The same applies to many, many politicians already in office, and some slated to take office. Again, why is this only a problem now?

The people that cast a vote for him, do not care.

On the contrary, they cared greatly:

It was important to them that Hilary not win.
It was important to them that a career politician not win.
It was important to them that someone who posed a threat to the status quo win.

Some tried Sanders, others went directly to Trump. Either one would satisfy that final, most pivotal point. Hilary would not.

This is a man that gathered White Supremists and White Nationalists as supporters.

Haters.

Our new president encouraged hate. "Aren't they the worst ?"

And Hilary appealed to women just because she has a vagina. She appealed to minorities because she continued to insist racial biases were at the core of their hardships, not the statistics that prove minority neighborhoods are also high-crime areas and that Blacks and Latinos are statistically more likely to perpetrate crime.

To those that resent anyone that is not white, freedom is slavery.
Freedom for other races and religions, is the slavery of political correctness, to them.

Does the same also apply to the non-white non-christian, or is this just more hate?

To the man that won the election, ignorance is strength. He praised his followers, "I love the poorly educated!"

"We won the evangelicals," he said. "We won with young, we won with old, we won with highly educated, we won with poorly educated — I love the poorly educated. We're the smartest people, we're the most loyal people."

"Smart" and "uneducated" are not the synonyms you think they are. "Smart" refers to the ability to think and analyze a situation, as well as the ability to grow in response to this stimulation. "Educated" (the antonym of "uneducated") means cramming knowledge into one's head in a formal setting. For a simple example of this difference: any monkey can learn sign language, but only smart monkeys can communicate with sign language; the rest will only stumble into sentences by random chance.

War is Peace ?

How much peace, will here be in the United States, after he becomes President ?

How much peace is there now? How much peace was there before? I do hope you didn't pick sides on BLM, since BLM insists on "No Justice, No Peace" and thereby making anyone on any side of the issue clearly aware there was no peace in this country since at least 2014. And who could forget the gangs? Those glorious gangs that have no qualms about shooting small children and having shoot-outs at 10 AM on a Saturday in shopping center.

He does not seem to have an interest in anything, besides insults, revenge, theft, and money.

At this moment, men are assaulting everyone on the list they were given by Trump.

Sounds like Trump is becoming just like every other politician in Washington.

Their explanation for their sexual assaults, is that "Trump does it, and he is President."

In comparison to before, when they said "Bill Clinton did it while he was President."

People have been filling the streets with protests against his future position as president.

And quite violently against people who just think differently.

Not much peace, there.

It would be more peaceful if his opponents weren't so hostile. If they sat down and engaged in discussion rather than dismemberment. I can't guarantee total peace, but then that's a fool's fantasy.

Everything has changed, in an instant.

Has it? Where I'm standing, everything looks just the same.

I think it's safe to say that a good number of the people who voted for Trump did so in order to vote against Hillary. And you can say the same for her supporters. Many of them voted against Trump, rather than for her.

You miss the point of the election.

It was to end the Clinton and Bush dominance of government plus push back against the chalky perfessers, queers, niggers, and cuntz. America said ENOUGH.

Trump got elected because he has balls.

Trump got elected because he has balls.

We shall see how big his balls are soon. His cabinet picks, if rumors are true sounds like Neo-Con central. With Mike casting the key vote in the Senate and pulling the strings, because he knows how Washington works, The Neo-THeo-Cons are about to ride roughshod over the world.

God help us.

Facebook Alone Didn’t Create Trump—The Click Economy Did
We also know that people often share viral content without even reading what they’re sharing. In 2011, web traffic outfit Chartbeat published a study that showed a huge percentage of people who clicked on an article on Slate never even scrolled down the page. A vast majority only ever made it halfway.

“They’re reading the headlines, getting an emotional reaction, and they’re passing them along,” Berger says.

It’s a trend that feels tailor-made for a candidate like Trump, whose campaign was high on emotion but low on detail. Clinton’s campaign, meanwhile, used fact-checking as its first line of defense. It seemed logical at the time. Online, most facts are findable, so why not use them? But it could be that all that work only served to heap more detail on an electorate that was scarcely making it through the headlines. That’s not a behavior limited to Trump supporters. That’s everyone.
IOW, facts no longer matter. Welcome to the Brave New World. (Yeah, I know, that's Huxley, not Orwell. So sue me.)

And quite violently against people who just think differently

Why, mah goodness, ah don't understand why people are so upset with us. You're bein' so unfay-uh.

Yes, people are mad simply because you're "different" from them. Sound familiar?

It would be more peaceful if his opponents weren't so hostile. If they sat down and engaged in discussion rather than dismemberment. I can't guarantee total peace, but then that's a fool's fantasy.

Lol

Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up! She never should have been able to run at all!

I'm going to build a wall!

I'm going to ban Muslims from entering the country.

They're sending the worst of the worst over here.

Grab em' by the pussy!

Frankly, she should worry about someone exercising their Second Amendment Rights.

Translation: you're an idiot.

In order for that to happen, Dumpf has to make the first move. Dumpf has to own up to his own rhetoric, and apologize. He has to recognize what kind of xenophobia he's been encouraging. He has to own up to why people think he's a racist bigot, and explain himself, if in fact that's not what he is.

Doubt it. So far he's had only one thing to say:

--the media's against him and are paying the protestors (lol)

Not good.

Then his Tweet got fixed. One of his aides decided he needed to sound more like Obama.

--It's good that people are passionate about their country.

Whoops, you can't undo the first response.

You know, those two tweets could have a simple explanation. Maybe Donald Trump is a schizophrenic.

When it comes to personality problems, some people have them in spades.

"Click" is a better word than you might realize, but for a different reason. It is the last name of a woman who was or is an assistant professor of Journalism, and she tried to abrogate freedom of the press and freedom of assembly when she called for violence against journalists who were trying to videotape a rowdy demonstration in a public area of a public university. Voters and others get really tired of that kind of elitism and high-handedness.

Why, mah goodness, ah don't understand why people are so upset with us.

Your absence of reasoning astounds me. How could you not connect this to the very next statement I wrote and mentioned that your side is the one executing violence.

Yes, people are mad simply because you're "different" from them. Sound familiar?

Yes, and it's why I find your hypocrisy so baffling. Somehow, after the protests to end violence and be given a fair chance, none of this registers now that you have a modicum of power.

Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up! She never should have been able to run at all!

The KKK? What KKK? I don't see them

Saying something offensive or disagreeable is not justifiable grounds for violence.

Translation: you're an idiot.

Ad hominem: the last refuge of people who have nothing meaningful to say.

So whether you can act like a rational human being or a violent animal is dictated by whether or not someone says something you find agreeable?

I think George Orwell would have seen it as more ironic than anything else and just shook his head with an "I called it."
