How many of you got one of these for Christmas.?
What is your favorite thing to cook on it?

I just did some pork loin steaks with whole dates. Yummy! Last week I tried a steak, but was disappointed (prefer fire). I have also done grilled cheese sandwiches on it, but not much else.

I love to eat and it is a handy item so please share your ideas with me.

Oh gee, I've done a lot of things on it.

Pork chops, chicken strips, steak, hamburgers, grilled cheese.

I tried to do some hot dogs on it but messed em up.

I think I'm probably the only person in the universe who is immune to George Foreman's strange commercial persuasion.

However, I am terribly affected by the insidious charms of his daughter, Freida George Foreman, the boxer. DAYUM she's fine!

I have one of those. They kickass and cook very fast. We have a regular grill too but because we live in an apartment with no balcony it is easier to use the Foreman grill.

My dad got one for Christmas...he likes it a lot. I don't have one here...I just boil my hotdogs, I like them that way better than the microwave.

Damn boiling hot dogs...too much work.

Just toss em on the grill and fry em up to a nice charred black crusty stick! MMMM~mmm!

I've had mine for a couple of years, and yes salmon steaks are GREAT on it, as are hamburgers and chicken breasts. And not to sound like a commercial, but I love the easy cleanup :)

I have one of those sitting still in the box in my kitchen. One day my family will figure out that appliances I don't request are not good Christmas gifts.

I got one for Christmas of 2000. I love it for hamburgs and bratwurst. I have never tried grilled cheese, I have a sandwich grill for that.

OMG!

I was going to start this same thread! I just picked one up at a Goodwill store $1.90! 2 trays & 2 mini spatulas. No books though. SO as I was making my grilled cheese sandwich (all I have done) for lunch today I decied I had to ask for help here.

so back to reading the replys.

you could sell it to me at a discounted price and buy yourself something you actually want with the money

:D

I love my foreman grill!

I mostly cook chicken or porkchops on it, because i prefer my steak over fire or broiled.

I just wonder how many hours George spent in Engineering and thermodynamic classes to invent the thing. What a boxer!

I bought one for myself last year. I really love it for chicken and fish, but I agree that steaks are better done on an outdoor grill. My son just gave me the idea to cook bacon on it. It turns out pretty good. You don't have the mess and splatter on the stove and you don't have to keep turning the bacon.

Bacon

Yes, I'll bet it is ideal for that. Hotdogs too. But I haven't been eating much of that stuff lately.

I wonder how tofu would do on it?

I use mine mainly for chicken filets. It beats heating up the oven for an hour.

Steamers are really cool for cooking veggies. I like to throw in broccoli, baby carrots, and mushrooms. And corn in season. Let it steam for 30 minutes and your done.

Bacon is the best!

all the dripping go into the neat little tray and then pour them in the electric skillet with the eggs! Oh, man the only thing better would be if Mom came and made it for me!

Deer bugers are great!

I thought - oh-wow,-another-overgrown-misterbuger. But, the darn thing is really nice.

and again as with all my posts,

what kind of spices do you all use on the chicken when using the grill?

I like the foreman grill so much I asked for the huge one for christmas although I already have one of the little ones.

I use mine to cook steaks and burgers usually.

I want to cook chicken breasts, but havent made it to them yet. ;)

Hmmm, food for thought.

Sounds like it might be worth the purchase. I wasn't interested in the original version because it's too small for families, but I've been eyeing the larger one for a while now.

Does the grill part come out for easy clean up?

Does the meat really stay juicy?

Fish doesn't stick to it?

Curiously,

Ruby

From my limited experiece so far ruby.

Super easy clean up (this from a almost middle age guy...)

I tried chicken tonight. I kind of burned it... It cooks soo much faster than an oven! even the burns parts came right off. (just a little BBQ sauce though...)

I can tell you grilled cheese sandwiches are sooo easy! like a said a guy....

I am gonna try some salmon tomorrow. I hope it turns out ok. If now wanna but it? lol

I got one for Xmas & love it. Works out great for me being on the Atkins diet.

I have cooked: steak (must marniate for better flavor & no more then 4.5 minutes cook time), chicken, bacon, German sauage, & my favorite is shrimp stuffed with jalapeno peppers wrap in bacon.
