Robin Williams is not funny. He's manic. He's not a stand-up comedian, he's a clown.

Carlin is funny. A little dated, but his inverted analysis of culture and society is unique enough to keep him working.

Steven Wright is fucking hilarious.

Steve Martin may be the smartest stand-up ever. Only an incredibly intelligent SOB could possibly be that funny being an idiot.

Richard Pryor is still the greatest stand-up comedian to ever hold a mic.

Watch for George Wallace - bearer of the true stand-up tradition.

Eddy Murphy = talentless hack. His best work began and ended on SNL.

Jeanine Garrofolo = the funniest female in the business...no one even comes close to her wit.

Al Franken might be the smartest of them all....funny, funny man.

Robin Williams? Let's hope he sticks to acting...or not.
