I watch from over the pond, and observe the utter contempt that the rest of the world overwhelmingly seems to have for Trump. Many think of him as an absolute laughing stock and ergo the USA.

Does that matter or not? Perhaps we should somehow find more information that mean we would respect him more?

Does it matter? Probably not too much...yet. if he keeps fucking with the economy and the dollar (the reserve currency for most of the industrialized world) collapses, then yeah, you might want to worry.

What information do you think is out there that has yet to be uncovered?

I am content to be lambasted, but it is, as I said, a genuine question. There are clearly articulate people on here, some, presumably, who voted for Trump. What are we missing about it all? It looks absurd, but life isn’t that simple, so looking for info as to why someone who understands US politics better than me would want to be happy with how Trump is leading your country.

So, in short, you want to hear from an articulate Lit-ster on why they support Trump? I'm sure someone will take you up on that. I'm not your guy on that.

Is it better to be respected, loved or feared? :)

There is no great mystery about it. Look no further than the hate-filled, frothing-at-the-mouth stuff you see from the Trump supporters right here. The secret to his success is simply that he made it OK to be openly bigoted for the first time in two generations, and to his fans that means he can do no wrong. But they don't want to have to admit that's what they love about him - maybe not even to themselves - so they invent other excuses ala "Moussolini makes the trains run on time" (which, as you probably know, he didn't really). That's all there is to it.

I've never met the guy. But love him or hate him, he has captured the world's attention.

What people think of him is their business. It doesn't affect my life if people love him or hate him.

People across the pond see America from news and social media.

Do you think what gets reported on in your country represents what's happening in your country as a whole?

Should I view you as a person based on what your leaders are doing?

Considering that everyone in the world knows Trump's second and FINAL term as President of the United States will end on 20 January 2029, he will become irrelevant IF Democrats win back control of the US House of Representatives in 2026.

The OP's 'question' is far from genuine. Just another leftist inciter.

Pay this fuck no mind. Aside from this post, I won't.

I do not give a flying fuck about anything any foreigner has to say. Your daughters cannot walk to school without being assaulted by Muslim migrants and you are more concerned about Trump. Real Americans hold you in utter contempt.
I went to a major NE city recently and it was lovely. The Africans who used to swarm me are no longer there. It was great. I felt much safer and businesses were all open and operating.
Red states will be paradise. UK will be a shithole.

Well, let me see. It seems to me that after the Anchorage Alaska meeting with Putin, Trump had a plethora of European Leaders meet him in the Oval Office and every one of them heaped phrases on him and unanimously avowed that Trump was the sole hope to end the war in Ukraine. Ergo, if the OP is correct that the rest of the world holds utter contempt for Trump than their leaders appear to be unctuous hypocrites.

After trump's Alaskan Ass Kiss where Putin literally bombed Ukraine while telling trump the spots on his testicles trump missed, Putin has escalated his attacks, started testing the defenses of NATO nations, met with NK and China to solidify there mutual attempts to overthrow America, and trump has admitted that he has only just understood what is going in with the war. trump is a useful idiot even to our frustrated allies - you are too stupid to see it.

What you see is what you get. He deserves your contempt
