Generation Gap Love

I was watching TV a few hours ago and seen where one of our senior movie stars at 61 just found the love of his life in a 19 year old woman. Is it just me or is a 19 year old not a woman for a man that age or is it true love on both their parts.
I find it hard to believe power and wealth on her side,along with some kind of major ego on his part isn't the culprit.
I have always figured 10 years age difference in either direction is acceptable. Untill I met my signicant other who happens to be 37 with me being 54. That is a stretch but adding 15 or 20 more years seems to me to be far out of the zone.
Am I the only one that feels age does make a difference when it comes to a lifetime commitment.

i think it is up to the people involved... i wouldnt go for the huge age gap.. there's something about knowing the person could be a parent/grandparent just freaks me out.. but if that's what they want, far be it for me to stop them

I agree that it's always up to the individual's assuming their both mature enough to decide...but what does a 61 y'old have that a 19 y'old wants, besides money?

I agree let them have what they want it is a free country. I just can't help but believe there isn't something else unsaid on one or both parts, but as a dirty old man I do sometimes envy those old fellers with the money to manage it.

I don't see anything wrong with that if they're in love or whatever but I'm 19 and I couldn't see myself with 61 year old man.

If they love Each other enough to over come the age Gap what the problem....


The only problem I see is that If they get married and have kids she will be changiing the babies diapers first and her husbands next.

I see nothing wrong with the age gap thing, although it does disturb me as to why a 19 y/o would be with a 61 year old other than for his money (Or he has a huge "extremity" )

I have grown rather close to a man who is nearly 20 years my senior, but the age difference plays no part on my feelings towards him.

I gues it depends on the people involved, and their personal views on it...

the problems arise

in the future if there is one,in ten years time she will be dealing with a 71 yr old although the age gap is the same its the cicumstances that change
