Gender Change, Old Motels and Giving In

I've been thinking about a story involving a dive bar at an old motel. The main character is traveling, playing shows in middle of nowhere dive bars. They are on a night off on their way to the next gig. They have been driving for awhile and have not seen a place to stay for the last hour. In a fog an old Motel appears.

After an interesting check in, they head over to the motel bar. The scene is smokey, Lightening Hopkins on the juke. A few folks shooting pool and a bartender that that greets the character by name. After a few whiskeys on the rocks a beautiful girl at the end of the bar loads the juke with some Fred McDowell and they buy her a drink.

The rest of the story involves them meeting a magical creature who if they have sex with would change their gender and bind them to the motel and bar.
