Short version of a long story is I currently have two places about a 1/2 mile apart. I'm paying for the new place but I haven't bothered to move into it yet. It's nicer than where I am now.

The small one names everything and there was a cat wandering through the yard that she saw maybe twice more and I've probably seen less than a dozen times. She inquired what its name was once and I simply said, Mr. Stray.

I gave the matter no further thought It isn't as if I have either approached, or been approached by mr. Stray. He's definitely not a pet.

She would like me to move Mr. Stray with me, which is problematic because A) he's not my cat and B) as far as I know he doesn't like me.

I explained that to her, so her alternative plan is for me to go to a pet store and purchase a cat. This is not something I'm willing to do. I finally conned her into the idea that fish would be lovely.

I was going to get a small aquarium and stock it with some neon tetras and some other assorted crawling creatures and what not but I ended up settling on a couple of bettas.

I sent her a picture and she sends back, "No squids!"

The little guy and fire dog playing tug 'o'war and destroy the house in one. And yes, fire dog is usually a blur in pics. Which suits g, he's not keen on me sharing pictures of them here.

But I don't think anyone could recognise the girl from this !

It's so weird god me having only little dogs now.

Well, tell G we appreciate your furry loved ones pics. Firedogs eyes are just mesmerizing. Your white dog kinda looks like a little lamb. As for your ponies, bless you both for taking in those strays and showing them love.

My cats ( and some pudgy thigh, sorry about that) and little guy.

Pudgy thigh. pfffstt... Caesar is back to his old routine after all that hay from last year. He's meeting a boarder tonight. A friend who takes part in a community-based sitting service where they care for your animals in their home. Or in your home. I think they offer to house sit too. I'd toyed with riding to NOLA next week which means he'd have to stay in Austin, but I decided he will go with me to see his best dog Jerome who lives there.
