Gay White people comparing themselves with Black Folks?

Does anyone else find it baffling or have a problem with gay people trying to compare the struggles of black people to their own? I saw this stupid ass comment on another website, posted by someone who supports LBGT.

Not in the least. IT's the exact same problem with a new group of people. Frankly it's baffling that blacks, who so recently went through this same issue aren't quick to jump up and defend gays. Guess it shows that prejudice and religion run much deeper than common sense.

You can literally cut and paste arguments against interracial marriage to those against gay marriage.

No shit? You can do the same for the Holocaust and evolution.

That's because the holocaust was about controlling the evolution of the human race like we were livestock. Society looks down on animal husbandry of one's own species.

Black people had better music......just saying, gays like all that techno music

I beleive if you read the original black to gay comment you'll see the author was not doing a comparison but and analysis of bigotry. In no way does s/he even suggest gay difficulties are equal to the ugly history of blacks in the US.

That being said, sexual minorities in the US, until recently, were treated like less than humans. Many are still treated this way. The US has always been a country of intolerable people, morally conservative and slow to accept any human differences. It seems to me, most of us can't read or don't read; ....All men are created equal..."
All men, not just straight men or white men or masculine men, but all men; with the word "men" being inclusive of women.

Where the fuck have you been?
We like musicals.

Stop making his point or I'll make you watch Batman the Brave and the Bold.

Well that clearly wasn't what the Founding Fathers meant when they wrote that. They didn't mean men and women, nor men and blacks and I'm sure gays were considered sufficiently non-masculine to qualify.

I thought we had collectively decided we didn't care what they thought because they were slave-owning drunkards.

The meaning of "men" is defined by the Supreme Court, So far my definition stands up to their analysis. The "founding fathers" lived in a very different time.
