MTV Networks and Comcast struck a last-minute deal this week to get the Logo channel on the air, making San Francisco the first of the cable company's systems to run the new channel, which offers entertainment programming to the gay, lesbian and transgender community.
Logo premiered at 9 p.m. Thursday in San Francisco on digital cable Channel 146. Comcast spokesman Andrew Johnson said digital cable subscribers in most of the rest of the Bay Area will receive the channel in the next 45 days. [continued...]
