Am I the only one exhausted from having to hear about this stuff? Must we have a fire storm any time someone offers their personal opinion against gay marriage? What is up with the witch hunt? I can't take it any more. I go to Facebook and I have to see dozens of angry rants against this guy and I am tired of it. Not everyone believes that gays should get married. I think that is a stupid stance, but such is life, you can't bully the world into agreeing with you.

And what have we come to in the world when we give this much a flying fuck about a fast food restaurant? Either you are pig who eats that sort of crap or you aren't. Pigs will continue to eat it regardless, as logic and reason has nothing to do with what food they eat... otherwise they would not be at Chick fil A in the first place.

I agree with this mostly. 60 years ago, pundits had the same arguments regarding interracial marriage. There's no reason, other than bigotry, to oppose gay marriage.

I don't recall mass hysteria and hand wringing over someone saying they don't believe abortion should be legal. I don't recall government officials announcing that they would block a company from operating a business within they city or state merely because their CEO opposed abortion. This is getting ridiculous. Those mayors should be ran out of office.

Wrong. 60 years ago miscegenation was illegal (not unlawful) in many states; this had nothing to do with pundits.

I think the fact that abortion clinics now have armed guards to protect those inside from christians is partly why this is an emotional issue. Somehow all gender/sexual politics have been lumped together into one massive "LEAVE ME ALONE PLEASE" .
As long as homosexuals can get married in the eyes of the law (though why they would want to I don't know) then I'm ok. I couldn't give a shit about what churches say, if your religion says the way you were born and who you love is wrong, maybe you chose the wrong religion.

I can only answer for myself, to say that it isn't more emotional than abortion for me. In fact, neither issue makes me emotionally charged. I calmly support them both without becoming hysterical merely because someone disagrees with me. Sad that people on both sides of these issues can't say the same.

I came to the conclusion that they can fuck off around 1992. I was not the only one, in fact almost everyone I knew was very aware of their extreme Christian values. And we didn't have the internet, we actually have to work for info rather than just following a facebook feed.
