Interesting....in the links offered at the bottom of the article, one, "big oil", I lifted the following blurb which I had heard on the news yesterday:

"The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine just unveiled a petition of 31,072 scientists, including 9,000 with Ph.Ds, which demonstrated “the claim of ‘settled science’ and an overwhelming ‘consensus’ in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climate damage is wrong.”

Hey, JBJ, thinking of creating a new political party and running for office in 2012, will announce on November 5th, this year, ya wanna be my first party member?

on the petition, the 31,000 "scientists"

there are actually about 3700 "scientists" on the list, in the field of climate, metereology, etc, the vast majority being BA's.

Joe Blows with BAs in Computer Science -- hundreds of them on the main petition-- are not "scientists".

indeed, BAs in any science, like say Chemistry, do not a scientist make.

there are about 10,000 engineers (bachelor's degrees) on the list.

veterinarians are likewise included as "scientists."
