Game Show Idea that I'm not going to follow up with

Kinda a cuckold game show idea:

Once a month a couple goes to a studio for an hour or two. The man goes to a talking head interview thing. The woman goes to a seperate room.

The game is that the woman is offered a sexual task. The more she does the more money SHE makes. If she just sits there and does nothing the couple makes some decent amount of money, but not like life changing, but enough to make it worth this monthly stop.

However, if the woman completes the tasks, who are filmed and would be put on a porn site- maybe this how pornhub or whatever breaks into a streaming services or whatever- SHE can make a ton of money.

While the man is being interviewed he finds out what the woman is being offered, and he obviously says she would NEVER do that on camera and how he isn't worried at all.

The twist is they only get any money if they stay together for the year, so obviously she would lie to him that she isn't doing anything. Then on the night of the live premier (think Bachelor Live final epsiode) the man finds out with the whole audience if he has spent the last year with a woman who was lying to him and doing the filthiest stuff imaginable.

They would then air his interviews saying how confident he is tha she is faithful in split screen with her doing all the stuff he said she never would.

I'm never going to work through this so if someone else wants to go nuts.

Interesting premise (the sexual game show part), but your current plot is just about the most evil thing a person could do to another. There's nothing erotic about that.

The twist is they only get any money if they stay together for the year, so obviously she would lie to him that she isn't doing anything.

The woman would have to be cold enough to not only cuckold him and lie about it, but stay with him for a year knowing she will destroy him on national television at the end. It's diabolical, and the jury would absolutely buy an insanity plea at his murder trial afterward.

Don't need a twist, really. Just a standard:

Good idea, but I'm also not buying the "live with her a year before you find out" and public humiliation part.

I like these other ideas though. Of course another angle is, "Oh no - she would never do that. I mean, she never has for me ... oh, my ... where did she learn THAT?"

Basically the fun is in the discovery of the mismatch between what the wife is capable of, and the husband's view of her. Introduce multiple contestants and it could go in all directions - although that probably calls for an epic multi-character stroke story, and the danger there is diminishing returns as we don't know each character very well.

It's not the only way to write it though, I'm sure there are other ways this could work with the right author. Perhaps someone who really understands exhibitionism inside out, because I think that's as much of a factor as the cuckold aspect here.

Perhaps we need multiple couples and the wives get swapped around... or maybe it's a reality show rather than a gameshow and the wives get swapped around while the viewers vote, but of course there's as many viewers that hate infidelity as viewers that crave it, so... how to win?

I love the idea of the cuckold game show / mismatch of ideas, but there's something that doesn't really fit. I guess it depends what the goal of the story is.

If cruelty/cheating is the goal then maybe there's a version of this where the husband is really against his wife doing anything that works...but I'm not sure how to cobble that together in a way that makes much sense. (of course, a totally logical response to this is "who cares, it's just about the sex!")

If the goal is a bit of the humiliation but with some of the sexiness, I tend to think it's hotter when some "we signed up for this" crossed with "oh shit it went to far". Maybe she decides (or is playing a game) to how nasty to get for increasing dollar values, with the knowledge that her husband is playing a game that decides who gets to watch (or participate?). Each one thinks the other will win, and as such, is willing to take a few risks. But a few unfortunate losing streaks and a loss of concentration, she's about to get double teamed on the 11pm news broadcast.

If the couple signs up for a gameshow in the first place, it is almost certain they know the basic rules.

I would imagine, practically wise, majority of couples signing up would already planned on choosing the more lucrative option and had no qualms about the cuckolding. The ones who are sure their relationship is strong and had not a single desire to swing/cuckold - wouldn't bother to consider this show from the start. Audience back at home would be just booing and saying its all scripted/staged - assuming the show is all drama and there's no actual porn shown in front of them for their gratification.

But to be fair, being scripted/staged appears to be the "reality" for most reality shows.

While the idea of this gameshow (probably) did not turn me on either, I think whether a particular plot is erotic depends on - obviously the individual kinks, and how the story is being described.

For instance, if the story is catered to the male reader who likes cuckoldry, it can focus on the husband's thoughts/perspective. If the story is about female humiliation/shame, it can focus on the wife's sexual experiences with other men and how she gradually breaks her hardened shell... as the money grew more tempting.

And as I mentioned above, it is very unlikely a couple would want to test their relationship by entering such a reality show. The reality show would feature mostly couples who are considering or already decided to do porn/explore cuckoldry.
