I figured a little game would be in order for National Poetry Month.

Here are the first five lines of a Literotica poem. Can you name that poet?

Go on and lay your pedantic
idiosyncrasies on me,
wrap me up in the dialectic
diagrams of your poster board
dialogue.

This is a quickie challenge:
I will post the answer tomorrow night. Vote with your first gut feeling.

Long live Google!

I found the same text (minus line-breaks) also in a blog, signed by a "Biggus Dickus", claiming to be "a complete work of fiction". The text has something like a title(?): Earth to psychobabble dude....

What's your point, Anna?

sounds a bit like mine ... but

hmm, now considering my poetry to be psycho-babble~ lmao ~
Biggus Dickus certainly not me ~~!!!

Lovin it ~~

my point? just fun, Senna.

...to see how many of us can match up the writers around here with a poem. yes dear, googling is easy, to get the right answer was not the point...

There used to be a game, I can name that tune in ..... notes. Just listen and see if anything sounds familiar is all. I picked the poem at random from the top list.

Damn! I would be the first to vote. Of course I recognized it...I recognized the writing right away as from someone with whom I had on a few occasions bantered in that psycho babble style.

psycho dabble... i love that.

next challenge? i need to exercise my search-hungry fingers. :D

and you also recognized it so quickly because you are so faithful about reading all of the new poems....and leaving encouraging comments :rose:

I don't know. There are several poets, maybe all of them who could be responsible for those lines. It's easier to tell when you have the entire poem. Give us a link to the poem so we can read the whole thing.

more lines requested......

It only reminds me of
Dianetics,
diaphanous drivel in disguise.
But then again,
I’m no L. Ron Hubbard.
Do I sound like I regret it?

cymry

He has many poems on the toplist, but I never seem to hear much buzz about him, which is why I selected one of his.
