I was just curious as to see if anyone out there is "cursed" with the ability to remember. The first perfect date with the perfect girl (or guy for you ladies out there) forever stuck inside your head years after it happened. The sound of a song you both heard during your time together, drives you to near tears. A moment so perfect, so beautiful that you wish to express it into words or writing, but no matter how much you talk no matter how much you write it will never be the same. It will never be given the justice it should be given. Guys and gals, I ask you. Am I alone in this haunting ability to never forget? Do you see it as a curse or a gift?

It is truly a gift. When you are finally with your soul-mate and have spent 50 years together...won't it be wonderful to remember the heart-fluttering moments of love that happened oh so many years ago.

What makes this a curse for me is the concept that I thought these women who I shared these experiences with were my soulmates at the time. Even when moving on to another love interest I find myself in that zone where I feel the past overwhelming me
