G. Gordon Liddy dead at 90

How many major figures from Watergate are still alive? John Dean may be the last one left. The last of the burglars died a few months ago.

Liddy's son and me went to the same high school. He (the son) was later involved in a major scandal involving the primary subject we're not allowed to talk about on the GB, so apparently assholery ran in the family.

Oh that's too bad. I'm sure someone somewhere will miss him.
Probably his house plants.

.
Hell has a special "west" wing just for them.

Something tells me their going to have to add another one in a few years.

Bob Woodward

The ironic part is watergate in comparison to what we have seen in recent years makes one nostalgic for Nixon. He violated a number of things, the irony is all the crap they did with the election wasn't needed, he was going to win big over McGovern no matter what. He had his flirtations with fascism and doing the wrong thing, the one thing I'll hand Nixon is he cared about the country, whatever his personal failings were (there were many). The big difference with Nixon was a lot of people, both parties, realized the danger of what he did and stepped up and in the end he was forced to resign. The other thing with Nixon was he wasn't a spoiled child, he had major character flaws, to no end, like I said I am almost nostalgic for him in comparison.
