Actually, I'm justing curious if anyone knows if Futurama has been used as a basis for a story on this site. I haven't found any myself, and I actually hope there aren't, since I want to do at least a couple of short 'what if' episodes (based on the What If machine from Anthology Of Interest). I'm specifically thinking of a re-do of the wedding night from Deep South, where Fry and Umbriel experience trouble in the bed room. Also, Parasites Lost, where he could have seduced Leela, but opted instead to find out if it was his real self she loved or what the parasites made of him -seems to me, he could have taken the chance to find that out AFTER they'd 'done the nasty'.
I don't expect these to be long stories (and definitely won't have that 'to be continued' tag that are appended to too many of my already existing submissions), but this will be a challenge in as much it will be my first serious attempt at merging comedy and erotica. I love the work of Douglas Adams, so I definitely feel I'm on strong ground when it comes to mixing comedy and sci-fi (though it's been a while since I've taken a stab at that as well), but being funny and sexy at the same time is a bit tricky.
One out I have is to do a complete re-doing of the mermaid story with original characters in a more fantasy based scenario. There was a short hentai series at one point called 'Elven Bride', and I thought an adaptation into 'Mermaid Bride' would probably work as well.
