Logan’s alarm sounded, dragging him out of a quite enticing dream in which he was romancing his friend Crystal. The dream had left him... excited. Slamming the button to turn his alarm off, Logan sat up, running a hand through his shaggy black hair, sticking out in every direction. He was only wearing a pair of boxers, how he always slept. His room was fairly large, containing a queen size bed, endtables, a dresser, wardrobe, closet, desk, chair, and several bookcases. On the desk was his book bag, which, in addition to school items, he kept his HP laptop, writing journal, and sketchbook with art supplies in. Sighing to himself, he pushed his body up off the bed, pulled on his black terrycloth robe, heading downstairs and helping himself to a cup of coffee.

After showering and dressing in a white shirt and black pants, Logan slipped on his socks and shoes, pulled on a black jacket (he usually dressed warmly, even though the temp was between 70 and 100 except in winter), gave himself a few sprays of Axe, and grabbed his book bag. Shoving his wallet and keys into his pockets, and throwing his PDA into his bag, he returned to the kitchen to down a quick bowl of Life cereal, and then headed out to the garage. About twenty minutes later, after picking up Draco, Logan pulled into the school parking lot in his black firebird, parked, set his car alarm, made sure his PDA was on vibrate, threw his bag over his shoulder, and walked with Draco towards the front doors of Pinellas Park High. In the open cafeteria area, Logan and Draco found Crystal sitting at a table, and soon the three were joined by Jaxon, Grizz, Z, and Ty. The group usually hung out in that spot in the mornings before the bell.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grizz was already up and about by sunrise, doing his morning workout. He stretched, did five hundred push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and jumping jacks, then proceeded to jog for a half hour before returning home to wash up. After pulling on blue jeans and a black tank top, Grizz slipped on shoes and socks, then proceeded to the bathroom to gel his red-dyed hair into a mohawk. A denim button-up shirt and a pair of shades, and Grizz was ready to roll. After eating a bowl of Special K with a glass of orange juice, he grabbed a bottle of Gatorade AM from the fridge and headed out to his old-rusty-piece-of-junk van. His mother and stepfather had plenty of money, but he refused to accept a car paid for by them.
After picking up Jax and Z, Grizz headed for Pinellas Park High, where they met up with Logan, Draco, Crystal, and Ty before classes.
Crystal rolled over in her bed, her eyes hazily opening up into the darkness and perceived the eerie green glow of her alarm clock. The numbers came into focus after a moment or two and read '3:28 am' Sighing she rolled onto her back and closed her eyes, falling asleep once again. She absolutely hated it when she woke up earlier than she had to. Unfortunately for her, the next time her eyes would open up it'd be to the loud knocking on her door.
"Whatttttt?" she moaned out, her face buried in the pillows.
"Get out of bed already, you're late for classes." her mother yelled out from behind the wooden door, a poster of one of her idols hanging on the back. Slugging the sheets aside Crystal sat up in her bed, sitting there for a moment before finally getting up. Another loud knock was heard from the other side of her door, and she just groaned.
"I'm up! I'm up!" she cried out, slowly walking over to the bathroom to shower. Taking her night clothes off, she turned the dials on her personal shower and waited for the water to be just the right temperature before stepping in. She hated getting her fur all wet but well... such was life. She loved the beach but hated the shower. Leaning her back against the wall, she let the steamy water rinse over her while she woke up. After she was done, Crystal dried herself off and walked back to her room, shuffled through her dresser and nightstand before getting dressed.
---
Sitting at an empty table, Crystal awaited her friends to show up. She was wearing a red t-shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans, her hair unkempt but at least presentable in her own fashion. Her backpack rest on the ground near her feet, her lunch and a few books contained within. She had her head resting in the palm of her hand while she listened to a few songs from her iPod. Her eyes shifted up once she saw Logan and Draco walk up to her table.
"Is it still morning?" she asked lazily.
Ty's grandfather, as much as she loved him, was getting older. He was having more and more problems as time progressed and it was up to her to run his household now. So of course that meant getting coffee going in the morning and making the old man some breakfast. It was five am and she was waking him up and urging him to shower as she had finished a while ago.
It wasn't like he was helpless... he just needed a reason to get up in the morning. So Ty made herself the reason to get him up. Once he had his coffee and his breakfast he was 'normal' well as normal as a yank like him could be.
"Oi... Don't tell me yer still tired old man," she teased. She was like her mother in that way and her grandfather reminded her so constantly that she was just like her. He regaled her with his usual morning tale of how her mother used to tease her father terribly while they were just friends.
"You ought to be nicer."
"I am nice pappy,"she reassured with a kiss to his cheek. "I'll see you after school." With that Ty bounded out the door and ran out to her GMC '89 POS Jimmy. It was white on blue and an all around decent car... but she wished she had a nicer one.
---
"Is it still morning?"
"Slept in again Princess?" She asked walking up behind the girl and poking her side in hopes of getting a yelp and a jump. She loved doing it to the girl because she was just funny. She was not tired because she usually got up at the same time every morning during the summer, not that she didn't stay out late.
"Senior year... Tis a beautiful thing." She said with a smile. Her accent was not as thick as most Manchester natives but it was still noticeable. "So... what are the plans then?" She asked yawning.
Whee
Draco had been up early. In fact, he never used an alarm clock. His father explained it as natural for their kind, but either way, he was up anyways. He had done his morning exercises after rolling out of bed, and then taken a shower. Then he went about brushing and polishing his teeth. Because of the nature of his teeth, the polishing was a must, otherwise they could decay quickly. His breakfast consisted of several Hot Pockets breakfast sandwiches. Once that was done, he dressed in his usual type of outfit, grabbed his backpack, and ducked out the door, just in time to see Logan pull up. He shook his head at the car his friend chose to drive. Draco was always worried it'd break under his weight, or that they'd hit a bump and his horns would go through the roof. The ride was silent, as usual. Once they had arrived at school, Draco climbed out of the car, and walked with his friend to the cafeteria.
---
Jax groaned as his mother woke him up. He had been up all night training, and his muscles felt sore. Not to mention his head felt fuzzy. Still, she was insistent, poking and prodding him, and in the end pushing him off the side of the bed and onto the floor. He yelped, landing on his tail, then got to his feet. "Fine, fine, I'm up. No need to push me." His morning routine took about ten minutes, after which he grabbed some breakfast to go and headed out to meet Grizz at his van. He raised an eyebrow at the outfit Grizz wore, and then shook his head. "Dressup day?" He laughed, then climbed into the van, stretching out in one of the back seats while he ate quickly. The ride to the school was uneventful, except for Z's usual shenanigans. After they were out of the vehicle and in the cafeteria, he sat down at a table.
Crystal, unfortunately, was caught again with surprise and alarm once her friend had poked her in the sides. She didn't exactly jump out of her seat but she did manage a startled yelp and then rolled her eyes once she settled down.
"I wish I slept in longer. Then maybe I'd be the one poking you instead of the other way around."
"Senior year... I still can't get used to hearing those two words. Ugh we'll all be graduating and then off to who knows where." Crystal sighed as she slumped her head in her arms, leaving it there for a moment or two before picking it back up.
"Plans? I dunno, ask them. I'm still not sure what year it is." she said before once again drooping her head.
---
Tamara plopped down on the couch in her apartment, tired after pulling a longer shift at the bar than normal. She had tossed her handbag on one of the few chairs she owned at the rather small table that was in her possession. It wasn't easy living, that was for sure. But at least she was on her own.
"Ok, sleep or go off. What should I do, Frank?" she asked, her head turning to the side and staring at a plush doll that sat on the couch next to her.
"Sleep sounds good, doesn't it? Ok sleep it is." she said, before nodding her head off and taking a nap. It would be a few hours later before she would come to, yawning as her eyes hazily opened. Looking around her dimly lit apartment, Tamara finally got up onto her feet and walked into the small bathroom and prepared for a shower.
"I wish I slept in longer. Then maybe I'd be the one poking you instead of the other way around."
"But it's not so you'll have to live with your decision to get up." She teased. Why was she so jovial today? She had naught a clue but it was nice for a change. She stared at the girl who seemed a little blue.
"Senior year... I still can't get used to hearing those two words. Ugh we'll all be graduating and then off to who knows where."
"Hey... Will you leave the pesimism to me please?" She asked groaning at how depressing the girl was. "The year is just starting... You can't act like we're all leaving today... That's cheating..."
"Plans? I dunno, ask them. I'm still not sure what year it is."
She frowned even harder. "That's it!" She said standing up. She rolled up the sleeves on her green jacket before tickling the other mercilessly. "You will stop bitching! You are going to have fun even if I have to beat it out of you," she pronounced.
Nat rose from her cheifly cheerleading decorated room and took a shower. She spent an hour fixing her hair and putting on her make up. She wore her cute little cheerleading skirt and tank down to the breakfast table. For everything that she was, what she was not was anorexic. She believed in eating because it was fuel for the body. Her only unchanging jewelry was a small collar with a large pink bell on it.
She loved that fucking bell.
She walked out to her cute little convertible bug. It was a harvst moon pearl and was fully equipped. Her daddy spared no expense for her cute little girl. She zoomed over to pick up her 'friend'. Really she kept the girl around because she worked well with her schedule and helped keep her balanced. Unlike her friends, some of which were truly stupid, Charlie was very quiet and calm.
Nat smiled at the girl who climbed into the bug. It was shortly thereafter that they sped off to the school where she was supposed to be getting people pumped up for the prep rally that afternoon. yes, it was the first day of school but why not start the year off with a bang. And she spotted Grizz, he was popular... She would start with him first, Nat failed to notice that Charlie had lost some weight and was dressing up a bit more.
It was partially because she didn't care.
"Hey guys," she said walking straight up to the table of... well miscreants was a little harsh but it was close to fitting. "Charlotte and I just wanted to make sure you knew about the rally. Hope you'll all be able to make it." Charlie visibly cringed at being called Charlotte but she couldn't get the big cat to stop....
Ty was surprised at Charlie.
"Charlie you look great..." She said smiling at the bovine. Of course Charlie just smiled.
"Thank you... I've done some working out," she admitted shifting her weight from heel to heel. The cow was dressed up in a blouse and a pair of jeans with black high heels. She ran a hand through her brown hair and chanced a glance around the table. She blushed when she noticed Grizz.
"Oh... Um... Nat I forgot something... I'll... I'll be r-right back," she said running off. Nat frowned.
"You didn't forget anything... Charlotte?" She watched the girl run. "ANYWAY," she said with a sigh. "I hope you'll show your school spirit at the rally afterschool."
Logan laughed at Ty and Crystal, then smirked at their little ticklefest. He nudged Draco. "You know, all the greatest porn vids start out with two hot girls playing around... Do you think I should run home and get my camcorder? I bet we could get rich off a video of Ty and Crystal gettin' jiggy. You know everyone here will buy it."
"Probably even the teachers, HA!" Grizz roared with laughter. Then, he noticed the girl name Charlie looking at him after her and Nat showed up, smiled, and then she vanished. Wtf... he thought to himself.
Crystal managed to grin at Ty. It was a ton of fun getting her all riled up, especially to the point where she threatened violence. But instead of receiving a nice bop to the head she crumpled down onto the ground as she was assaulted by tickles. Laughing uncontrollably as she tried to defend herself, Crystal finally caved in.
"OK OK! Haha I give, I give." she said, a big smile across her face. Sitting back up, she fixed her disheveled hair and smirked.
"I was just tired, that's all. But thank you for the wake up call, Ty." she said, and then frowned at Logan.
"You guys should consider yourself lucky that you've even seen us in bikinis. Males, ugh." she said, rolling her eyes and looking at Grizz, giving him a stare as well for encouraging the idea. Her eyes once again shifted and looked at Nat and Charlie as they walked up to their table. Charlie she liked to have around... but Nat was just sometimes a bit over the top with the way she acted. But she normally never bothered to talk to them, and when she did there was a reason, so naturally she showed up with the intention of reminding them of the school rally. Since Crystal was captain of their track & field team she was obligated to go.
"Don't worry. I'll be there." she said, folding her arms.
Z watched the madness of the morning with serious brown eyes that saw much and showed little. Charlie's reaction to Grizz was very interesting, and he was certain that his friend hadn't even noticed. Nevertheless, he did follow the tickle fight with keen interest. The girls down here...nothing like back home, or in New York. Almost like they were different creatures...but then most of them were, really.
"We do," was his reply to Crystal's chiding the males at the table. It was perhaps the third time he'd spoken that day, and the first since arriving at school.
He didn't say anything about the rally, but he thought he didn't have to. He wasn't going. He'd been at this school for not even a month yet, and his school spirit had long ago been exorcised by the sweet savagery of punk and metal. Instead, he looked over at Grizz, "When she comes back, you should complement her."
Nat smiled at the girl from the track team. "Oh dear I know you HAVE to be there but I was talking about everyone else. It wouldn't hurt for you all to show a little bit of spirit and glee every once and a while." She said. Nat had meant for it to be nice but.... she rarely came across as such even when giving compliments.
She didn't like being ignored so in turn ignored that boy with the brown eyes. "So what do you say? Go in for the school... if not for the school then your friend Chrissy..." She said with a brilliant smile. She frowned for a moment when Ty corrected her. "That's what I said..." She grouched before deciding that this table was a waste of her time and headed over to a livelier bunch.
~*~*~*~*~
"Oi!" Ty said pulling a spork out of only God knew where. "I told you that the one video I made with her was the first and last. If you chose not to show it to the others tough titty..." She said with a smirk hugging the other girl and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Of course Ty just liked to make the guys wonder about the two of them from time to time.
And now of course that would inspire them to look at Logan and ask him about a video. "And besides... I think that it's still warm enough to wear a bikini at the party..." She said elbowing Crystal. Sure, the plans were still in the works but it could be fun.
Ty raised an eyebrow at the question. "No I think I shall pass... I have a feeling that the overwhelming number of happy people screaming and conforming will give me a headache," she said pleasantly as she poked Grizz with her spork and tried to look innocent if he looked her way... not that there were many people sitting to his immediate left.
She looked at the skunk who rarely spoke. "He's right... No one ever says very nice things to her. Hence why she has to hang out with Miss Priss over there..." She said a few moments after the pretty cheerleader had gone.
~*~*~*~
Charlie was pretty sure that she had just made an ass of herself but really what as she supposed to do now? She knew that she hadn't forgotten anything but she couldn't just walk back in like she had been avoiding them. Sure, it was he last year but it was really much too work for the poor girl. She was ready to be done...
It was about three minutes later she wandered back into the quad with a notebook. She had gone to her locker to get it. It seemed to make sense to go and actually get something. She was feeling a little better until she saw Grizz again. The butterflies were in her stomach again, almost immediately. This was not supposed to happen to her. Not until college at least... right?
She was going to have to walk by their table again anyway so might as well stop by and do damage control. "Hey Ty..." Charlie said trying not to concentrate on the guy not too far away from the girl she was talking to was a total babe. "I just wanted to thank you... Sorry I had to run off like that... Forgot my notebook..." She explained holding it up.=
There was that awkward silence that cuase her to blush. "Um... I was wondering... if I could have a word with you Grizz..." It was strictly council business she would tell herself.
"U-uh.. Sure," said Grizz, getting to his feet. He glared at his friends who began giving him questionable looks and smiles. He dared them silently to say anything. Then, he followed Charlie.
"Damn!" Logan said as he barked a laugh. "Looks like Grizz might be getting some action tonight. Hey--" he leaned in forward and motioned his friends to do the same, then whispered, "Beef -- it's what's for dinner!" and then mimicked pussylicking with his fingers and tongue. He leaned back in his chair, laughing, and then continued to fall back until he smacked down on the floor behind him, resulting in everyone in the area turning and laughing. His face burning, he yanked his chair back up and sat down hard, presumably sulking. Then he looked up at his friends and smiled. "I meant to do that."
"U-uh.. Sure,"
Charlie smiled and tried not to look at anyone now. They were surely all laughing at her. What was she thinking? Well, it was supposed to be about the homecoming and it was with the council... Oh this was almost too much for her.
"Um... Thanks," she said as she led him to the hall where her first class was. "Um... I was told to find out about you maybe... well Are you... Do you already have a date for the Homecoming?" She had been told to find out by one of the other cheerleaders and she was mortefied abot having to... because she herself was crushing on Grizz.
"I mean I was sure that you would but-" She stopped herself and just blushed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Damn! Looks like Grizz might be getting some action tonight. Hey-- Beef -- it's what's for dinner!"

Ty chuckled but did find it much funnier when he fell over. She laughed outright at him. "That's what you get you dumbass," she said looking around at everyone laughing at him.

"I meant to do that."

"Uh huh..." Ty said taking a drink from her coffee thing.

Z just watched Logan's antics impassively. A lot of the time, Logan was funny. Which Z genuinely appreciated, he was gloomy enough that any lift in his spirits was a thing to value. However, when Logan wasn't funny, he was an ass. Now was one of those times. He felt some sympathy for the awkward girl. He'd been that kid once, when they'd first moved to New York.

A ghost of a smile crossed his face as Logan toppled over, and Ty and the others began to laugh. He liked the English girl a lot. Her accent was music to his ears, she was cool, and she wasn't pretentious or part of the student "herd" like so many others. She was a good friend.

Z didn't laugh at Logan's fall, there was just that phantom smile and then he clapped the sulking joker on the shoulder. A thought suddenly occurred to him, "We'll need to skip last period to avoid the rally, I think."

Crystal smirked at Logan but punched him in the side anyway. She wasn't very strong but the point was there. He had been laughing at his joke, and when he leaned back she watched his chair just keep going until he was lying flat on his back, eliciting a chuckle from her.

"I know you guys hate going to stuff like that, but I'm more than positive you'll all show up just cause I'm there." Crystal said, nodding her head enthusiastically. She honestly liked having them around, but if they didn't come to the school rally she wouldn't blame them. The entire thing was just a big place for all the hyperactive cheerleaders to show off their legs while the jocks just showed... well they showed off. Then again... Crystal was part of the athletic body at school, though she didn't consider herself a jock.

"I'd skip the rally too, but it's mandatory for me if I plan to race in a couple of weeks. I've been itching to hit the track too. I think I've gotten faster." she said with a smile. If there was one thing Crystal prided herself on it was her speed.

Tammy leaned her back against the wall of her shower while the hot water pelted her body. She liked to relax while bathing, taking exceptionally long showers before getting dressed. After a long day working at the bar she just needed some time to herself. It was probably 20 minutes later when she finally turned the water off and stepped out to dry herself. Wrapping a towel around her body, she stepped up to the foggy mirror and wiped it so that she could see her hazy reflection.

"I'm a mess." she said with a chuckle. her hair dripping wet until she took a second towel to dry it off.

*zip*

Heading the door that lead outside, Tammy quickly slipped a t-shirt over her head and arms, bringing it down over her chest and bringing it to a rest over her jeans. She felt her pants for her wallet and then realized she had left it on the table. Grabbing it she stuffed it into her pockets and walked out the door. She would need to stop at the store for a few things and then the rest of the day she had to herself.

"We'll need to skip last period to avoid the rally, I think."

She smirked when she heard that. "A man after my own heart," she teased. "Hmmm... Where should we go?" She looked at Crystal. Ty did feel a little bad that they weren't going to go watch her at the rally but really what was the catgirl going to do but sit there and stand when they called her name and then wave to the crowd?

"It's not you..." She said as if she was breaking up with a boy. "It's the rally, I swear," she chuckled. "Of course... We could show up during the rally and 'kidnap' Miss Crystal..." Ty suggested.

"Go in all stealth mode and then explode from the bleachers, bum rush the floor, snatch our pretty kitty and then run like hell with her out into the quad...." Ty smirked. "And that's where you guys have the instruments set up at the top of the steps and it becomes one huge mosh!" She sounded excited with her plans. "yeah..." Ty sighed.

Z listened to Crystal with a faintly apologetic look. She'd been nothing but nice to him since he got here, rare for someone as popular as her to do that with the new kid...and a skunk at that. But even for her...to attend a rally...would be distasteful.

Ty's speech was much more interesting, and the young student found a ghost of a smile on his face listening to her plan. "Bold," he said. "Unrealistic, but bold." "We'd all get suspended, at the very least." He then shrugged, "Sounds like fun though."

"Bold. Unrealistic, but bold. We'd all get suspended, at the very least. Sounds like fun though."

She laughed, "Meh... Who hasn't been suspended?" She was sure that Crystal hadn't and there was that cheerleader and Charlie. "Ok... Back to reality... Hmmmm..." She sighed and looked to the track star. "We could go..." She suggested but didn't sound like she wanted to.

She looked at the group.

"Or we could get some stuff ready for the party..." She suggested. "At least then we're being proactive. Or..." Another thought suddenly struck her. "Some of us could go... and the others could go about getting some stuff ready for the thing..."

Grizz just kind of stared for a minute, then chuckled. “Just ask, Charlie. Next time, just ask me straight. Yes, in response to your hidden request, I would love to go to homecoming with you. Here’s my cell number, you can call me later if you wanna,” he smiled and handed her a slip of paper. He saw her blush, and turned to return to his table. “I’ll talk to you later, Charlie.” He was practically walking on air, and his normal walk seemed to have turned into a bit of a strut.

Logan wasn’t really paying attention to the others, having buried his nose in his science book. But he did look at and smile as Grizz sat down. “Well?”

“Yeah, I’m taking her to homecoming,” he said quietly. Logan started to yell something, but after remembering how karma knocked him on his ass, he stopped himself, his mouth frozen open for a second. Everyone looked at him, expecting one of his usual wisecracks, but he just closed his mouth again.

“Don’t you hate sneezes that drive you to the edge and then leave you hanging?” he added quickly.

“Yeah,” said a voice from behind them.

“Cuz then you can’t shoot snotbombs at people!” said a second voice, and then both started laughing hard. Everyone turned around to see the infamous duo of destruction, Jay and Riley.

“Are you guys stoned? This early?” snarled Grizz.

“Pssht. Puh-leeze!” scoffed Jay.

“We didn’t get high this morning. We’re still high from last night!” exclaimed Riley, and the two roared with laughter again. Logan concentrated even harder on his book as the terror twins sat down. He did not like them very much, as they liked to tease him. If not for Grizz, they probably would have thrown him in a dumpster or upside down in a toilet or something. Plus they were part of Grizz’s band, Black Scrotum, so he couldn’t hope to get rid of them.

“Hey, whatcha readin’?” said Jay, snatching the book out of Logan’s hand.

“Aww, it’s geeky mumbo jumbo!” cried Riley, glancing over at the book. Jay tossed it back to Logan, and both twins made a loud farting sound with their mouths at the same time and gave Logan’s book a thumbs down.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Chance Furlong sat at his dining room table, drinking a cup of coffee and intently reading one of his text books. A short man with a golden coat of fur came down to the kitchen, sitting down next to chance.
“Hey man, why you studying so early? You had your nose stuck in that book when I went to bed last night, man!”
“Uncle Ruben,” Chance sighed, not looking up, “I have to keep my grades up if I want that Air Force Officer Scholarship. If I can keep my GPA above 3.0, I could get a full ride at FSU. I mean, sure, I’d have to sign a contact saying I’d fly for the Air Force for several years, but that’s what I want anyway. To soar into the skies, rescue those in need, and demolish those that would harm others...” he sighed again, and did not speak until he was saying goodbye to his family. Getting into his 1979 piece-of-shit Chevrolet Caprice, he proceeded to start the car. Failing several times, Chance punched the dash and cussed loudly, and the car jumped to life.
“Yeah... That’s right,” he said to the car, then pulled out of the driveway. Upon arriving to the school, Chance made his way into the open cafeteria and sat by himself at a table, which happened to be next to a group of people who were talking rather loudly. The when one of them fell over in his chair, everyone laughed. Although buried behind his book, Chance continued to listen to their conversations.
“Just ask, Charlie. Next time, just ask me straight. Yes, in response to your hidden request, I would love to go to homecoming with you. Here’s my cell number, you can call me later if you wanna. I’ll talk to you later, Charlie.”
Charlie forgot all about Trina, the cheerleader that had forced her to ask Grizz that stupid question, and blushed at the thought of Grizz wanting to date her. She watched him walk away and she found a smile on her face. She stared down at the number and as soon as she turned around half of the cheerleading squad was standing there.
"Oh, he gave you his number to give to me?" The cat asked reaching for the paper. Charlie stuffed it into her bra, it was safe there, and shook her head.
"No... He um... Well he has a date..."
"Who?" She asked looking around.
"Um.... Well... Me..." She said. Charlie waited for hell to rise up around the squad of felines and for Trina to kill her but instead the girl just erupted laughing. The bovine immediately felt stupid and blushed ever harder. She turned around and walked away quietly trying not to look at anyone that would be watching her. She didn't want their sympathy.
~*~*~*~*~
“Well?”
“Yeah, I’m taking her to homecoming."
Ty smiled broadly at that. "Oh, well isn't that nice. She's really a nice girl... Can you handle a 'nice girl' Grizz?" She teased. She could see that the smartass was going to say something but stopped. It was a good thing because she had a sneaking suspicion that the universe would have it in for him.
“Don’t you hate sneezes that drive you to the edge and then leave you hanging?"
And he managed to cover it up well with that.
Ty usually tried to ignore the twins. She would not really listen to thim but she would hear it and could remember it when the time call for it for the most part. The red panda frowned at the two looking at the book and then throwing it back at Logan.
“Aww, it’s geeky mumbo jumbo!”
"Oi... How cute they can read," she teased back. "That proves miracles are real, Crystal you owe me five bucks," she said looking to the only other female at the table. She laughed outright at the two young men.
They were losers as far as she was concerned.
Jaxon shook his head at the antics of the others, especially Logan. Then he turned his attention back to the letter he was reading from a relative travelling Asia. It spoke of some very interesting locales, wonderful food, beautiful women, and a lot of history. He smiled, knowing the relative was happy with what they did. Still, he wished he could do something like that. It would give him an excuse to see those places, and study more forms of martial arts.
---
Draco grinned at the reactions of everyone to everyone. Logan was getting the brushoff because of his sense of humor, which was par for the course in the mornings. To Logan's credit, his jokes got better as the day wore on. Still, they would have an interesting set of classes today, he thought.
The red panda knew that classes would be starting soon. She snagged her raggedy messanger bag and slung it over her shoulder. Ty ran her hand through her hair before looking at everyone at the table. "I'd love to stay and listen to the mindnumbing stories of the doublemint twins over here," she said gesturing to the two tweekers.
What the hell did she care what they thought of her?
"Anyone else care to join me?" She was offering to 'save' the others from the second hand smoke and bad vibes of the two 'boys'.
"It's not you... It's the rally, I swear," Ty chuckled.
Crystal smirked at her friend.
"Oh I see how it is." she said with a grin. As much fun as it would be to avoid going to the rally she had to go. Like she had said... if she didn't go then there would be no racing for her this season. Racing was what she lived for... to feel the wind rush past her body as she raced off towards whatever end. She would run along the beaches, down the roads, through the woods and fields... wherever and whenever.
Glancing at the watch on her wrist she nodded her head.
"Yeah, it's getting late into the period. If there's one thing I'd definitely skip it's math class. My head hurts from all the numbers..." she said, sighing.
Z stood at Ty's invitation, nodding to Grizz and the other boys. "Later." It was good to get away from them. He liked Logan, the kid just wasn't always funny. At least not as much as he thought he was. He disliked the twins intensely. They were loud, clamorous, ignorant, and proud of their ignorance. They were skilled enough musicians. When they played, he liked them. Any other time, he'd rather they were somewhere else.
Walking past Ty, he spoke again, in a much softer tone meant only for her, "Thanks." His bag was almost dragging on the ground, held carelessly in one hand. Then louder, "Let's go."
