basra_Child.jpg

An Iraqi child in Basra welcomes his liberator.

The child was probably pissing himself after hearing the Iraqi information Minister telling the world how they 'slaughtered' the Americans!

And that isnt a British soldier in the photo.

you are right in that it isn't a british soldier and infact, I am not sure what it is.

no matter though, it is still amusing.

The gun looks like either H&K design, so maybe German soldier, though the flag/marking on his soldier doesnt resmemble the German flag.

The fatigues he is wearing arent what our marines are in anyway.

BUT, still a damn funny pic!

very true and i am sure someone will come along and tell us :)

I'm sure I've seen soldiers dressed like that on war memorials from the Second World War or Korean War.

Maybe he's just beamed in in one of those Philadelphia experiments. :p

Take away the kid and it looks like a scene from Saving Private Ryan.

Very well done though.

If I have to be geeky I would say the gun is maybe the Vektor R4 from South Africa, which comes with such usefull features as wire cutters and a bottle opener!

Guatemala or Honduras.....

No such soldiers in Iraq.

I've got a similar pic of a biker pissing on a honda.

Looks like a Galil to me, which suggests an Israeli soldier (as its made by Israel Military Industries)

Maybe the photo is real then. The title said "child Basra". But maybe the soldier is Israeli and the kid is Palestinian.
