Speaking of Gauche.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but for me, it isn't the word so much as the setting and the speaker. For instance, even "Gauche" can send me into a frothing lather if it's used during a tender moment in a bedroom scene and the speaker is Katherine Deneuve. Of course, just about anything she says has that same effect on me.
