Freaky Famous people
Anything goes! Just let us know about your Favorite (or least favorite) Fetish.
Try to keep them related to BDSM, but since most Fetishes can easily be incorporated into the lifestyle, anything goes!
I'll get us started with a Fairly well known Fact, but it Flows with my other F words:
Figging is believed to have its origins in ancient times during punishing Frisky Females so that if they clencd during a Flogging it would only make things worse.

Keep them coming! And I'm sorry if this has already been done, I couldn't locate any similar threads... :nana:

Reputedly, lost generation author F. Scott Fitzgerald had a foot fetish.

Why I love being an English major...

Shakespeare mentions dildos (apparently often mentioned the refrains of ballads at the time). The Winter's Tale. Act IV. Scene iii. Line 195.

Me too!

The only thing is though is that if it is opened all the way while it is in, it can do some serious damage.

Still doesn't wane my interest in it :D

I don't know how much of a fun fact this is, but I was only recently aware of it's meaning:

Buggery, was originally meant to refer to sex with animals, before becoming just anal sex....

While many know of the tradition(s) of the cuckold's horns, one lesser known cultural use replaces the horns with an upturned crescent moon. The moon represented the dynamic state of love; some have also suggested it also represented the fickleness of women, but whether this comes from a misogynist bias is not known.

This is my personal favorite "Cuckold's Horns" tradition, as the moon is often identified with the feminine, it seems to be the most intuitive to me. Well, that and a crescent moon is much more pleasing to the eye than a rack of deer or elk horns on my head. :)

Go to Medieval Times... I'm not sure about all of them, but the one in Schaumburg, IL has a small torture mueseum. I first saw the pear there when I was about 13... Been fascinated by it ever since... I was twisted even then

I went to Castle Warwick in England back in the 80's. They had a small museum of torture devices. I found them fascinating.

The Medieval Crime Museum in Rothenburg, Germany is one of the most fascinating places I have ever been. I also remember seeing the movie Mark of the Devil when I was about 10 yr old and being so scared yet I couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards, to the point of fantasizing about being tortured myself.

I went there at that age too! It was a special school trip, I loved it. We even dared one of my classmate to sit on one of the devices (it was a spikey chair). He did it and got up before anyone could see him :D

PS- I personally didn't see anything wrong with the pear when I saw it......until I heard it opened up. Ouch!

I don't know about anyone else but when I realize I "need" X to get off, I usually try to wean myself off of X for a while, so I take the power away from it. Therefore I don't believe I have any true fetishes. What we call fetishes today aren't really, they are things we prefer and like to do but can live without.

Word accuracy and etymology are the least of people's concerns when they are talking about sex. I guess that's why there is so much ambiguity -and why there is so many misunderstandings in relationships...
