name. Alonria
class. Shifter
Age. 23
Town. Bear Vally

Alonria 5ft 4in 120lbs in human form, with long Black hair that flowed to her waist and grey eyes that looked silver in her other form's. She has an hour glass figure, genorus breasts, and well toned body from running, or flying around the grounds owned by the clan.

Alonria has only been a shifter for 10yrs... she had been bitten when she was young, and had gotten lucky enough that the one who bit her. Adopted her from the orpanage and took her to the clan to teach her, insted of leaving her to become a rouge, or die durring her first change. Like most young did. Alonria dosent remember much about her past before becoming a shifter save for that her parents had died when she was really young.

The clan owned a large porton privet propery that included a large section of the forrest area near by.. as well as the section of river that flowed thur the property..and Had high fences outlinging the property with sighs that read no tresspassing.. to keep hunters out.

Alonria's favorite form was that of a hawk..., but she also eqully enjoyed changing.. into a fox, or wolf.

She had just recently been taken to hunt down her first Rouge who had killed a young woman.. from the looks of her body the rouge had used her as a play toy much as a cat would a mouse before it died... They had tracked the Mutt by sent to his appartemnt. Not finding him there they tracked him to a club where he was looking for his next prey. Following him out. Making sure to stay back far enough that he wouldnt catch their sent she, and her partner tracked him to the woods.

They had been to late to save his pray but had taken him out and covered up both his and their own track's, as well as desposing of the body's. So that the athoritys couldnt trace them.

Shaking her head Alonria cleared it of her thoughts and flew back twords the house. Landing on the porch railing she changed her shape, and walked nude into the living room, and upstairs to her room to get dressed. Their leader had called for a meeting and it wouldnt do to be late.

Catherine had been visiting that place again. Perched atop the gravestone, peering sadly down at the ground, long-since flattened, and grown over. Beneath that plot lay two bodies, forever locked in their human shapes, or what was left of them.

Morbid thoughts, but hers had been such a life. With a plaintive call to the moon, an owl took to wing, effortlessly rising up from the headstone of the beings that had given her life. They had been shifters, as she had, but at the end they had left that world to become "normal," and human. She never understood that decision, and knew that it had left them vulnerable to attack. She knew that now at least. There was strength in numbers, and safety.

She circled around Bear Valley, looking down on sights that had been childhood haunts. She had been human, or thought of herself that way, for many years. Now, there was no question that she was very different.

Well, there was no purpose delaying further. Their leader was holding a meeting, though it was evident that it was about the current problem. Rogues had been growing in number, and their attacks in ferocity. Action was called for, and Catherine hoped that the rumors were going to prove untrue. Alliance with them. The werewolves were, in her mind, almost as bad as the rogues, and only better because they at least followed the rules. Most of the time at least.

She saw Alonria entering the house, and had a sense that she had missed something. She did every so often. Some said she was hanging onto her parents too long. She was an adult by any measure, they said, and it was time to act like one.

She shifted her form to human just above the porch, allowing herself to fall the few remaining feet. She rose, equally unconcerned for her nudity, and padded into the house.

Alonria caught Catherine's scent and heard the small thud she made on the porch as she landed. Cat was learning fast but also being stubborn in other areas and Tho she and Cat's backgrounds differed she understood part of why cat was confused and angery. She had thought herself to be human until her family was attacked.

They were still trying to figure out why her family had been targated.. they hadnt been rouges tho the shifters who had attacked them were tracking two rouges at the time, it still didnt make any sence and they couldnt ask the ones envolved because the shifters who had attacked the family had also been killed and the rouges they had been tracking escaped.

Alonria hadnt been apart of the clan when that had happened, but had been bitten shortly there after, and had been trying to make friends with Catherine sence...

The one who had bitten Alonria had been a rouge and had been killed nearly taking her with him in the process, but something about her had caught the attention of the shifters leader, and they had saved her in time.

He had taken her under his wing rather than having her killed out right.. and left her life or death up to fate, ether she would survive and join them or die in the change.

She had had to adapt and learn how to be what she was and think of herself as a shifter and not simply a human and that ment giving up alot but also mainting an appearance in the comunaty, as well as keeping secret.

They had to hide the fact that none of them were human and the roughs activitys increassing as they were were drawing way too much attention to all of them... the thought of the panic and man hunt that would inssue if the humans ever found out they really did exist outside of movies would be......... a nightmare at best.

She shivered a moment remembering the body in the river and how they had found it. Trying to push those thoughts asside, as it had been taken care of, and with any luck the poor dead woman would become another missing person, who disapeared from a bar case. They would co oporate wtih the police and allow them to search the woods here and the river, always good to co operate with the cops when able..

She made her way out of her room and smiled at Cat in the hallway, Alonria was dressed in denim blue jeans a white tank top and denim jean jacket over top, she had left her hair black hair down and loose around her sholders. Her gray eyes warmed in welcome twords Cat.

Hey Catherin.. ready for the meeting? this should be interesting boss man says the where's are sending some reps from the different where animal groups to discuss the situation of the rouges with us and decide what to do about it. you know the wolves, tigers, bears, ect.. i suppose i should say those with only one shape but they might get mad.. she said grinning, and trying to lighten Catherin's mood.

Catherine smiled at Alonria, stopping in the living room still unmindful of her
nakedness.

"Hello Alonria."

Her smile vanished upon mention of the werewolves. Or rather the werfolk. She placed no distinction between them. Werewolves killed her family, so all
werefolk were responsible. End of story.

Catherine's view of "history" may have been skewed, but it informed every part of her outlook in life.

"If he says we treat with them who am I to argue?"

She spoke in clipped tones, and without further comment, or even a goodbye,
went upstairs to her room to change.

She couldn't miss the meeting. No option. She would have been punished for a slight of that sort. But she sincerely did not want to be in the room with them.

She pulled on a black t-shirt that had a yellow smiley-face .. with a bullet hole in its forehead. She pulled on denim shorts without bothering with panties. The less worn, she felt, the faster she could strip to transform.

Finally, she pulled her red hair back into a pony-tail and tied it off with a black
knit hairband. She didn't bother with shoes, as usual.

She took a deep breath and shook her head. She would basically have to stay
silent .. she was basically the low person in the Clan, and her voice didn't carry
much weight. Her "childish attitude" (pfeh!) didn't help her case much either.

So, she could easily ruin the meeting tonight without contributing anything to
it. It was going to be hard, but she reminded herself again that the clan boss
wanted this, and that was pretty much that.

Jashua Welch

Name: Joshua Welch
Class: Shifter
Age: 25

Joshua was crouched delicately on a thick tree branch. His dark eyes looked down at the earth below the trees. His pale platinum blond hair seemed almost the same white color as the moonlight. He sighed softly and let his bangs fall down to hiding his eyes. He took a few long breaths before stepping off of the branch and then falling through the air and landing in a crouched position on the ground. His long jacket had fluttered behind him as he moved through the air. He sighed and brought his hand up, running his fingers through his hair for a moment or two.

He closed his eyes considering the things that he could do to get back to where he needed to be. He smirked and considered changing forms. His favorites were rabbits, cats, and foxes, but currently his human form was pretty nice. He took a few long breaths, considering the change, and then shaking his head slowly. No, that wouldn't be a good choice. With things having been the way they were with all of the rogues these days, people would be searching the forests for people who might have been involved and for the missing people that the rogues always took. He smiled softly, and supposed that really just the fact that he was out here in the forest put him in a position which wouldn't be comfortable. Then again, he hadn't even been involved in the rogue hunt, so he had the fact that he was completely innocent to defend himself, not that it mattered much these days.

With all of this excitement going on, it was hard for Josh to believe that he always managed to be so bored. He closed his eyes and just walked slowly back towards the fenced off manor. He was going to have to talk to them about the things that were going on. He needed to discuss with them how he was going to discuss how to deal with the Rogues. It was a problem that could continue to spread, and if they solved the problem now, it would be much better for everyone in the long run. These rouges were attracting too much attention.

Alonira smiled and shook her head as Cat went on by, she knew that cathreine didnt want to be anywhere near the others when they arrived and couldnt blame her. She had tryed to talk the boss into letting Cat out of the meeting but he wanted everyone present incase the meeting didnt go as planned.

Continuing down the stairs she entered the boss's office. you sure you want Cathrine to be at the meeting? I am not sure she is ready to face this all at once.. Joshua there boss just looked at her, and she held up her hands in a sign of peace.. Ok ok... your the boss.. and this is an improtant meeting i get it..

Joshua settled back in his chair and nodded slidding a folder across the table at her. she picked it up leafing threw it. looking at him over the top of it for a moment before going back to reading.. My next assignment....so we got a name this time... you sending me back up or am i on my own?...

Joshua just sat there his hands folded on the desk as he leaned forward. You'll have back up, i am sending Roan with you.. and you leave after the meeting. Alonria raised her hand as if saluting him and grinned as she handed the folder back to there boss and left the room, with Joshua shaking his head at her antic's.

Joshua Welch

Welch had been wandering, heading towards the Bear Valley headquarters. It was his mission to play a happy liaison, meeting up with their group to talk about the Rouges. Really, he was quite sure that wasn't the reason that he had been sent. The reason he was so sure was because he had been told to arm himself, specifically to carry silver bullets. Someone obviously expected things to go differently than what everyone had discussed. Apparently this wasn't going to be a happy meeting where everyone just sat around and discussed their problems. That was just the way things went these days though. There wasn't really a point in showing up if everyone thought that the discussion would deteriorate into a gunfight.

He crossed his arms before him and continued to walk, arriving at the front gates of the fenced off property finally. He smiled and stood there for a few moments, his arms still crossed over his chest. He smiled softly and let his head fall back, rolling his head from one side to the other, causing his neck to pop. He then straightened his head and looked forward through the gate. Someone would be here soon, he was sure. He considered shifting into the form of a rabbit and slipping through the fence, but knew that would be a dangerous move, since Rouges may have already attempted such a risky move, and something like that could get him shot as easily as it could get him to where he needed to be. He sighed softly and brought his hand up, brushing his fingers through his bangs.

It took a few moments before he turned around and let his body rest back against the fence. He smiled softly and then sighed, "I don't understand why they would send me here for this. It's just so boring. I don't get to participate in any hunts, and I don't get to do anything fun." He let his head fall back against the fence, his eyes looking up at the sky, "What a drag." He chuckled softly and then closed his eyes again, "I'll bet I don't even meet any attractive ladies. This really is the most depressing and boring trip I've ever been on." He sighed once more, knowing that there was a chance that it wouldn't stay so boring, after all, they had told him to be prepared for a fight for a reason. If there was a chance that things could erupt into a fight or something interesting like that, things wouldn't be staying boring. At least there was that.

Alonria glanced out the window as she exited the office and smiled seeing Roan the guy who would be her partner after the meeting and one of the other memebers going to meet a guy who was standing at the gate and smiled. They were starting to arrive... She sighed hoping that things wouldnt get too out of hand, they all had enough problems on there plate as it was... but hey thats what this meeting was for right... right.

She continued on outside waiting on the porch for Roan and the other shifter to escort there guest up. If she could pull Roan aside a moment she wanted to chat with him and let him know they had a misson after the meeting but knowing boss man Roan was probly already informed..

She watched there approch with there guest and took a quick aprazle of his looks form, not judging ether way unless he caused problems then well that was another matter... The wind was blowing to her rather than away and she could catch there scents from where they were by the gate..

His pale platinum blond hair caught in the light his dark eyes a nice contrast to them as he aproched between the two men escorting him. She didnt catch any one scent from him tho.. what she did catch was Fox.. cat of some kind..., and Rabbit?

she knew Roan's scent and the other male's from the clan, it was mandatory for safty reasions to learn to differenteate clan memebers scents from others.. it also helped make tracking them easer if they turned rouge.

Sence he had more than one scent Alonria knew he was a shifter rather than a where animal most of them tended to smell like the one fourm they could take after a time... The meeting will be held in the library, its our largest room... so where you from? she asked as they reached her and she moved out of there way so they could pass her.

Roan shot her a look and she simply grinned in awncer, before giving him the what did i do something wrong face.... and then grinned again as she turned to follow them back inside. Roan hung back a moment letting the other clan memeber continue ahead with there guest and said. boss already told me and i dont like it, but i'll back you. then turned and caught back up with there guest.

She knew what he was refering too she didnt like that part of the up comming mission ether but hey they had to stop this rouge before he killed again... The part she didnt like was playing bait..

Catherine padded down the stairs, standing rather dejectedly in the living-room of the house. She planned to wait there and watch the "guests" enter, before entering the library. Preferably near the door so she could get out if the scent of wolf ... werewolf that is, for Alonria's wolf-scent was familiar to her and not threatening ... got too much for her. Most in the clan knew her background and (she hoped) wouldn't blame her if she felt the need to flee.

She shifted slightly, suddenly aware that her t-shirt wasn't the most diplomatic outfit to wear. But she heard footsteps on the porch, and figured "they" were arriving already, making it too late.

She took a very deep breath, glancing briefly up to the ceiling, and strengthening herself for the scent of strangers ....

Joshua smirked as he was escorted from where he was up to the actual house by two men. He was moderately amused by that, but supposed that he understood why it was that they had two guards placed on him. It would be a tragedy if he somehow turned out to be some sort of Rogue and wasn't from one of the groups that was supposed to be here. He smiled softly as he looked at her and smiled, his dark eyes focusing on her with the deepest of gazes as he headed up the path to the house. He smiled softly and shook his head, causing his long bangs to move and sway before falling back to about the same place that they had been all along. He smirked and brought up his hands, his fingers catching the collar of his black silk shirt and pulling it forward a little bit, an action that almost looked a bit smug and overconfident, like he was on show, or was strutting his stuff to get a date rather than to talk about Rogues.

His dark eyes remained on the woman as he was led towards the house by the two guards. Once he had made it to a spot beside her and she had asked where he was from he gave a soft smirk, "New York." It seemed that someone had gotten a little bit angry at the girl for asking that kind of question judging by the look on her face. He took a long breath through his nose, taking in all of the scents around him. It was still too hard to figure out who was who though. It wasn't likely that he was going to be able to win over many hearts while he was here, and that was also pretty depressing. He smirked softly, well it was worth it to try, and the idea that he wouldn't be able to win one of them over made him want to do it even more. He'd just have to think of a way of doing it. He smiled softly and gave the girl a little wave as he entered the house.

He looked up to see the girl in the t-shirt and smirked softly as he watched her for a moment, taking the time to stop, even though he was fairly sure that the guards would object. He smiled as he looked at the girl for a moment and brought up his hand giving her a little salute with two of his five fingers. He smirked softly and looked at her for a few moments. He smiled smugly at her, but didn't say anything and quickly changed his glance back to the guards. He shrugged and held up his hands as if he was surrendering and then followed them further into the house. He shook his head again, causing his bangs to slide out of his face for a moment or two as he headed into the library. He smiled as he continued to think about things. Maybe there was more than one interesting lady here. This could get interesting after all.

Once he was in the library he smiled and made his way to a chair, turning with enough speed to cause his long jacket to move around him like a cape, and then he had flopped down in a chair, looking perhaps a little bit too relaxed. He smiled softly and then closed his eyes. He couldn't do anything yet, he'd just wait until things started coming together. He chuckled softly, "Well...this has been fun, right?"

Catherine's head tilted. His scents were unusual, but not especially threatening.

His smirk, and general demeanor, made her blush slightly, shifting her weight and fidgeting. His smug little smile and salute disconcerted her further, and she shrugged and glanced away from him for a moment. When she looked back he had already lost interest in her and accompanied his escorts into the library.

She padded over to the house's main door, and looked out to Alonria.

"Who was that," she asked in a loud whisper ....

Alonria smiled at cathrine's question glad that she wasnt the only one to notice. Shifter from one of the New York clan's. not bad looking tho what do you think? she said unable to resist teasing Cat a bit as she leaned back against the porch railing. She could see others begining to arive and they were being escorted in as well.

Alonria waited for them to pass by before motioning Cat to the side of the porch out of ear shot.. None of the where wolves had arrived yet but it wouldnt be long... I got a mission after the meeting, and yes i have back up.... but was wondering if when i get back you want to take a run with me around the grounds..... you know you can talk to me if you need to.

Alonria was trying to look out for her friend she knew boss man was trying to help her get past most of her anger before allowing her to take on missions because anger.. could blind a person in battle, and get them caught or killed, but Alonria also knew that being pushed to soon to fast could be just as bad, so in away she guessed this was kindof a test from boss man to see if she was ready for the field or not.. Looking back over her sholder she could see Roan waving at them to come inside all the clans had arrived including the wherewolves, it was time for the meeting to start.

At Alonria's question Catherine blushed lightly.

"He was ... interesting. But ... rabbit?"

She knew it wasn't really choice that governed a Shifter's form, but even so it was an unusual shape.

She paused, watching others arrive, and followed Alonria to the side of the porch.

"Umm .. sure, yeah. I'll run with you. Hope the mission goes well."

She knew better than to inquire too closely about the nature of the mission. The members of the Clan were told what they needed to know. Though Catherine was eager to get out into "the field" and contribute. As it was, she was skirting the rules by frequently going to town in one form or another, to visit the site of her parents' graves, or revisit various places she had loved as a child. She usually went as an owl or cat, and so far hadn't attracted any real notice from the humans, or more importantly from any of the Rogues.

She saw Roan as well, and took a very deep breath.

"Well," she said nervously, "guess that's us."

Joshua remained in his relaxed sitting position, his body almost sprawled over the chair instead of seated in it. He had picked up a book off of one of the shelves and we busy pouring his attention into it rather than the people who were arriving for the meeting. He had no interest in most of these people, which he knew was sure to be a pity, since he was here to meet with them. His dark eyes slowly skimmed over the pages, his thumb running over the pages that he had yet to turn. He knew that people were going to cast him odd glances because of his shifting, but that was alright. People who didn't like the fact that he could shift into a rabbit were close minded. He was getting tired of explaining the benefits of a rabbit over other animals. He supposed something like a bear, or something like that would be more useful for battle, but rabbits had their uses.

As a rabbit he knew that he would be fast and agile, a good combination considering that he could once again shift into something more dangerous after he had taken a few steps. He knew that at the moment his most dangerous form was the fox, but that was why he carried around weapons in his human form. What he used most of his animal forms for were just sneaking around and escaping. Battle was played out best between human forms. He didn't want to have to do anything as unsanitary as bite anyone, so using things like fangs was just out of the question, and claws were rarely ever as effective as a knife, or a good gun at your side. He supposed that was one of the drawbacks of living in a large, highly populated city. All of his forms were for getting away and blending in, and that was hard for him no matter what happened thanks to his genetics.

He smiled softly as he looked through his book. These people were small town. They weren't likely to understand. He sighed softly and closed his eyes before looking up to the people who had come in. A lot of these people wouldn't understand the benefits that his forms gave him in cramped areas. It was a simple case of a cornered rat biting the cat. Big things could be hidden in small packages, and even though a rabbit didn't seem all that threatening, anyone who had watched Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail would surely know different. He chuckled softly and shook his head slowly at that, remembering the comedy sketch about the vicious rabbit so well.

He sighed softly and closed the book with a quick action before placing it down beside him. This really wasn't as eventful as he usually liked to make his trips out of town. He sighed softly and then closed his eyes, letting his head fall back against the back of the chair. He'd have a little nap. It looked like he had time after all, and he doubted that any of these people had anything to say that he could contribute to. If any of them knew about his history or his feelings they probably wouldn't listen to anything that he had to say anyway, after all, what would be the use to listening to someone who, if his clan had arrived a few minutes later, might have ended up as rogue himself. He couldn't really blame them for not trusting him, or for casting glances his way. He just wished that all of the funny looks he got were because of the fact that one of his forms was a rabbit rather than because of how he became who he was now, and what risks were involved in having him around.

Alnonria was still smiling over cathrines question about the rabbit... she had thought pretty much along the same lines, but then she supposed it had its advantages they were fast and hard as hell to catch, even for a hawk, fox wolf ect.. tasted yummy, but hard to catch..

she chuckled over that thought a moment before thinking of other ways a rabbit form could be usefull, like the fact that if he had been in rabbit from and hopped threw the fence they might not have noticed him at all, until he got close enough for someone to pick up his other scents.. and if you were human well, most ppl had them as pets and thought them cute.. Yea a rabbit form had its uses...

Catching cathrines comment about hoping the it all went well meaning the mission, Alonria nodded and said. Me too... Shall we? and turned to go inside with her and join the others in the library, staying near both Cat and the door so she could help her make an exit if she decided she couldnt stay in the room.

She noticed the shifter from NY lounging in one of the many chairs in the room, a book in his hands he seemed almost board as tho he didnt really want to be there but was here anyway.. which made her a bit curious as to what had prompted him to come aside from the obvious order from his clan leader.. and why had they chosen him to come?? If she had time later then she would find him and Visit... if she could.

Once they were all inside Joshua entered... The library was huge one of thos rooms that looked like 6 others could fit inside it, with firplace 2 long curved couches and two smaller matching sofa's kinda in a semi circl infront of the fireplace with a large glass coffie table in the center.. lots of meetings were held in this room.. and a dest off to one side.

Books lined shelves floor to celing all the way around the room. It was one of Alonira's favorite places... now there were shifters, and where animals of all kinds in one room all gathered for the first time. most of them standing as far apart from each other as they could get without offending anyone else. Alonria shook her head as she watched Josh move to the middle of the room and begain speaking.

By the end of the discussion and near blow ups and arguments they finnaly had settled on a truce until the rouges were taken care of. Truthfully Alonria was surprised they had made it threw with out bloodshead... it had been and interesting meeting, but it was settled. Peace between shifters and where animals for now.... this one had started around 12:00 in the after noon and ended around 10:00 oclock at night.. Just in time Alonria thought..

There would be another meeting tomorrow night to discuss how exactly they would deal with the rouges and wether they would all join forces or keep to themselves and just not war with each other until the rouges were stopped.

Seeing Roan across the room she nodded, and held up her hand showing him 5 fingers and ducked out of the room meaning 5 min, and she would be ready.
She headed up the stairs and changed from her blue jeans into a black skirt and black spiggitti strap halter top to match and heals.. she swept her hair up into a bun with whisps of her black hair framing her face, a dash of perfume and she was ready to go.

She met Roan in the drive way and smiled to most watching it looked simply as tho they were going out.

Catherine managed to get through the meeting without "wigging out" (as she had expressed her feared reaction previously). Granted several times she had edged closer to the door, but each time she had kept her emotions in check, and remained.

Granted, most of the time she actually was watching the new Shifter from New York. His cavalier indifference was oddly fascinating to her, and she couldn't tear her eyes off of him for more than a few minutes, except for the time that it looked as though the room would degenerate into a full brawl.

The meeting ended, and most of the weres and shifters filtered out of the library.

Catherine, much to her surprise, found herself waiting to one side not watching the weres (again, especially the ones that were true werewolves) and watching, waiting on, the Shifter from the other tribe. She just couldn't take her eyes off of him, for absolutely no reason that she could explain logically.

She just .. watched him, standing awkwardly by the door, one bare foot covering the other, hands folded behind her ...

Joshua Welch had been a little bit surprised when he had made the discovery that the leader of this clan shared his name, but he had discovered quickly that name was really the only thing they had in common. He seemed to be a cool, calm, level headed man, which was something that Welch was able to pull off himself, but really, his was more boredom than cool and calm. These people at this meeting, all of them seemed so boring. There were the weres that were touchy about anything that the shifters didn't chose words for carefully enough, and then there were the shifters who almost seemed offended that the weres were here in one of their home bases.

His dark eyes had caught Catherine, hiding near the door. She seemed to be the exception to the rule that he had made up about the shifters. She didn't look angry or defensive around the weres, she almost looked frightened by them, like she wanted to run away and cry under her bed or possibly vomit on the front porch. He didn't really mind, and supposed that if someone hated weres enough that it was a perfectly appropriate response. He didn't mind the weres so much himself. He had always assumed that they were less powerful with only one form that they could change into, but there was nothing bad about wolves, and he had always lived by the proverb that a man who tried to master too many things would end up in ruin having mastered none. Perhaps there was some wisdom to be had in being a were, but then again, there always seemed to be difficult conditions for their transformation that were hard to alter. For a few moments, Joshua felt like this was perhaps some sort of video game, and a were would be normal difficulty, and he had chosen easy.

When the room had erupted into conflict he had moved getting into a bit of a more tense sitting position, one of his hands running over the edge of his coat, just around the area that he would have to reach in to find one of his pistols. He knew that he could reach in and pull it out at a moment's notice, but also knew that this was something that was bound to happen, and if he jumped the gun, so to say, it might just be the straw that broke the camel's back. He didn't want anyone lashing out at him for having brought a weapon, especially when he couldn't remember if he had been told not to. It would be best to lay low at least for now. He smiled softly as things finally became relaxed again.

The rest of the meeting seemed to have gone off as planned. The ending where everyone agreed to a truce was nice, and was really what everyone had been aiming for. Joshua closed his eyes and let his head fall forward a little bit. He liked the idea of taking a nap somewhere, since he had to stay up for that meeting, but at the same time, he wanted to go do something. He blinked when he finally felt a set of eyes on him again and glanced over for a mere moment to catch that it was that Catherine girl, the one who had been in the T-shirt earlier that had been looking at him. He hadn't looked for long enough to even let her know that he had looked at her, but that was alright. In that instant he had noticed, and that was all it took. He instead pretended like he hadn't noticed and pushed himself up, looking down at the book that he had left there for a moment.

It looked like most of the rest of the group from the meeting had shuffled out, or at least was beginning to by the time he moved, and then suddenly he had melded into the crowd of moving people, vanishing from Catherine's sight. It had only taken him a moment of sneaking to arrive behind her, where he had brought his face down so that his nose was near her neck and he took in a long breath, "A cat, a panther and an owl...all of those predatory animals and you still spent the entire meeting over by the door?" His hands had been shoved neatly in his own pockets there for a moment, but when he realized that she was probably going to be startled and might turn around or run away, his pulled his hands from his own pockets and quickly slid them into hers. He smiled softly, "Now, I'm not sure if it is because you are afraid of me, or because you are afraid of the other guests who aren't like you and I, but I was a bit concerned that it was something that I did or said that upset you this much." He smiled softly for a moment, "Now, I'd like to talk to you about it, see if there is anyway that I can make you a bit more...comfortable."

She blinked. She hadn't taken her eyes off of him, but .. he was no longer sitting on the couch. She was about to walk over to the couch to see if he had ducked down behind it, when she felt hands slide into the pockets of her shorts.

She almost panicked, feeling breath on her neck,

"A cat, a panther and an owl...all of those predatory animals and you still spent the entire meeting over by the door?"

The voice of the strange Shifter dispelled her panic, but she still wondered how she had missed his movement. And, she realized too, had he been a foe ...

"Now, I'm not sure if it is because you are afraid of me, or because you are afraid of the other guests who aren't like you and I, but I was a bit concerned that it was something that I did or said that upset you this much."

"N .. no," she managed to stammer, "It .. wasn't you...."

"Now, I'd like to talk to you about it, see if there is anyway that I can make you a bit more...comfortable."

Catherine took a very deep breath.

"Ok. Talk is good. It .. it is kind of a long story. Well, I guess it really isn't so much."

She shifted slightly, pressing back against him very lightly. She blushed just a bit as she realized she was doing it, but didn't adjust her stance.

"I ... my parents were killed by werewolves. I just ... well, that ... it won't go away. I was raised like a human by them. They were both Shifters too. Never taught me any thing about shifting. I don't know why ... they were killed when I was very young."

She paused for a moment. She wasn't completely sure why she was opening up like this.

"So," she said with a slightly defensive tone in her voice, "it wasn't fear. I don't want to jeopardize this peace. Don't want to wig out or lash out. I don't like it but ... I don't have to either."

She shrugged, and glanced back over her shoulder.

"Does any of that make any sense?"

Joshua Welch smiled when the girl relaxed a bit, letting her body lean back against his a bit. It was nice that she was finally relaxing a bit, and it made him smile that he was now quite sure that he had a possible solution to the problem that she was mentioning. He moved his fingers a little bit, very slowly as he took in all of the things that she was saying, piecing together the story from her words and nodded softly. It was a story that wasn't all that different from his own, and as a result, he could understand her feelings.

He closed his eyes for a moment and spoke up softly, "Well, you are doing very well. You even found a good way to keep yourself under control." He smiled and slowly opened his eyes, "After all, if you spend all of your time looking at me rather than the weres, there is less temptation to flip out, isn't there?" He smiled softly, "My parents were killed by Rogues, but really, for the most part they are just mindless monsters, so I don't have to negotiate with them." He smirked softly, "My name's Joshua by the way, but since you already have a Joshua, you can call me pretty much whatever you want."

He continued to smile while he stood directly behind her, his hands still in her pockets. This was rather nice. He chuckled softly and leaned his head forward a bit, "I'll tell you what." His breathing was now tickling over the side of her neck, "If you come sit with me for tomorrow's meeting, I will keep you distracted from the weres so they won't bother you so much." He smiled and placed his lips against her neck, gently kissing and sucking at the side of her neck for a moment or two, giving her a little flash forward of how he planned to distract her from the were people. He only did this for a moment before he gently grazed his teeth over her neck and pulled away again, the same soft smile on his lips. He spoke up again in a gentle whisper next to her ear, "If you want, I'm sure I can give you plenty of other things to think about." He smiled, wondering how long he could keep a purely predatory shifter in such a docile mood. This was sure to be fun.

Mission Riker.. Rouge/Wherewolf.

It had taken them a half hour to reach the bar. One of those out of the way along the mt. pass's that mostly truckers, lumber jacks, and people who knew the area frequented, and people who were lost asking directions or perhaps just passing threw and stopped for a beer. which made it now 10:30pm

Should have kept the jeans Alonria thought looking at the palce but she didnt want him to pick up another woman in the bar and hoped that they hadnt missed him or they would have another vic on there hands. She looked over the profile once more before getting out. the Plan was that Roan would wait out here and follow them once she got in the vehical with him. First goal was to get him away from the crowed and the humans...

With any luck with her being by herself he would think her a loaner. Alonria made her way inside and started searching for her prey.. strangely tho she wasnt thinking about the case tho she was thinking more about Cat and wondered how she was doing.. Alonria smiled a bit ignonoring the drunken comments aimed her way along with the looks and someones whistle..

Cat had done well at the meeting and had stayed in the room which was one step closer to being able to come along on some missions soon, and she had noticed Cat wacthing the NY shifter, and decided to leave him alone, there were other fish in the sea and she wouldnt get in his or Cats way... it also ment that she would have to tell boss man he had been right as ushual. Ah! there he was.. at the end of the bar, good.. they hadnt missed him after all...

Alonria walked up to the bar 3 stools down from where Riker sat the other two between them were empty accept for people who would walk up order a beer or two and step back out once they had them. She ordered her drink and waited.. It didnt take as long as she thought for him to aproach she had only taken a sip or two of the Jack and Coke she had ordered before he came up. Hey baby... you lookin for a little action tonight? You dont look like your from around here..

Alonria smiled as she looked over at him.. Names Tiffany, and no i am not from around here.. My car broke down. so i am stuck unil morning, and i wouldnt mind a little .. action until its fixed... She scooted off the stool and begain walking with him threw the crowed twords the doors when she caught Roan's scent, and Rikers head jerked up as he begain sniffing the air and scaning the crowed, before looking directly at her.

She thought she had hidden her reaction to Roans scent but apparently not quickly enough She was back handed full force across the room slaming into the wall. Roan was lost in the sudden panic and rush for the doors unable to reach her. There was a mment when she got to her feet just before Riker shifted form charging into a half man half beast that they locked eyes and she knew.. He had the chance to escape, but saw an oprotunity for distruction and took it.

Her left arm was numb as she got up and Riker charged the crowed a few braver truckers, and lumber jacks tryed to stop Rikers attack but were cut down instantly by his claws as he slashed one across the throat and tore into anothers gut spilling entrails onto the floor..., and continuing to attack the crowed a womans scream cut off in mid air.. before Riker called out .. Come on baby i know you can smell it.... Come play...

The words sounded strange coming from his animal form more deep and gruff than his human voice had been... She kept herself undercontrol how ever, and hoped the crowed was too busy panicing and trying to get out to notice as she changed into the form of a fox.. She was hoping as drunk and confused as they were that they would mistake her fox form for a dog, and begain attacking Riker hoping to lure him outside.

It worked when she attacked him it no longer be came fun and games he was angry now and she was his prey.. She was quicker in her fox form slipping in and out of the few people who had tryed for the back door exit.

she made it to the parking lot before he managed to hit the doors, and had ducked under one of the cars at the far end away from him..The smells of the vehicals, gas, tires, oil, the people themselves, and even some vomit a few trucks down helped to mask her scent.

She would have changed into a hawk and flown further off leading him even further away from the humans but feeling was begining to come back to her arm and it hurt like hell.. which ment she probly couldnt fly even if she wanted to.. in about an hour or so she would be healed enough to fly but by then Riker could have killed her..

Where the hell was Roan??? Still stuck in the crowed ?.. she startled a bit as Riker started slaming vehicals and flipping them over in his serch for her.. Come out.. come out.. Where ever you are... I know youre here and i'll find you... Alonria resisted the urge to say not by the hair of my chinnie chin chin, but couldnt help thinking it and wondering what was wrong with her that she could find some humor in this situation.

Come on Roan she thought where are you... Keeping Rikers feet in sight she slipped quietly and carefully out from under the car.. backing away.. she was hoping to get close enough to the highway before he noticed her that she could dart off into the trees. She wanted him to follow but she also wanted enough of a head start she could hide and give Roan time to help her.

She heard Rikers angry roar and just made it across the road into the tree's when he slamed into her.. She struggled with him using her teeth and claws raking at his under belly with her hind legs as he towered over her trying to pin her down. His teeth in her sholder she heard a snap and knew it was broke.. Damn!! God! THat hurt... Alonria tryed to stay focused as she fought back.

Thinking he had her he decided to taunt her, and play some before killing her.. and threw her away from him her body hitting a tree near by. She lay there not out for the count yet.. she didnt have to pretent she was hurt because she was and she used that to hide her shifting forms. She needed more mucle than her fox form gave her... I am gonna enjoy this baby... you have no idea what i and the other rouges can do... will do.. theres gonna be a change.... to bad, your not gonna be aroudn ta see it.. Now.. what can i break next....

While he talked he had slowly been moving twords her... it was about midnight now mabye later she would guess not much time had passed sence she had entered the club and the attack begain. It was dark enough and she had stayed as quiet as possable while she shifted from fox to wolf the sounds of pain she made excited him, it was dark enough that when he came for her again he wasnt expecting her to leap at his throat.. and they were fighting again.. Hurry Roan... Someone... I cant keep this up on my own for much longer She thought

Catherine listened to what he said, only almost totally distracted by his breath on her neck, the soft kiss and gentle sucking, the graze of his teeth.

She shivered and a very soft purr came from deep in her throat. It was a real purr too, a strange and quirky holdover from her cat-form. But it left Josh (as she thought of him) in do doubt that his attention was very welcomed.

"Catherine. That's my name. Everyone calls me Cat though," she whispered back to him, again turning and slightly leaning her head back toward his.

"I think I would like being .. distracted tomorrow."

She shifted slightly again, rubbing one of her legs slightly against his. She still wasn't sure why she was opening up so instantly, but Josh had a certain and unavoidable magnetism.

Joshua smiled softly and took in another long breath, his nose still near her neck, "I'm sure we will have a very good relationship." He kissed at her neck again, "But I should be careful. I wouldn't want some love sick puppy trying to nip at my ankles and scare me away when I'm working so hard to distract you from the weres." He chuckled softly and then traced circles with his fingertips over her skin through the fabric of her pockets, where his hands were still hidden.

He closed his eyes for a moment and chuckled as parts of the situation came back to him. He brought his lips to her ear and whispered, barely above the noise of a breath, but at a volume he was sure she would be able to hear, "So, how is it that, someone who changes into predatory animals is so submissive now that she's been caught by someone who turns into a rabbit?" He chuckled softly and then slowly drew his hands from her pockets, but didn't pull away from her, at least not yet.

He stood there for a moment, and then to make sure that she was aware that his question had been hypothetical and there was no need to answer it he spoke up again, "I am going to have to impose on you, Kitten." He smiled at that, leaving it up to her to decide whether it was a petname that he had come up thanks to her purrs, and the fact that people called her Cat, or if it was because of her docile nature so far in his knowing her, "I haven't been shown the place that I'll be staying while I'm here. I don't suppose you can show me to the room I'll be staying in?" The sound of the words, and the way they left his lips made it clear that he had a few ideas about what other things, or rather other people, might go best in the room that he'd be staying in.

She shivered feeling his fingers in her pockets, almost tickling her through the thin material separating them from her skin.

She giggled softly, not moving away from him either as his hands slid out of her pockets. The question actually struck her as funny, and she mentally agreed, there was no other need for comment. He would find out himself if he were here for any length of time.

She took a half step away from him, and turned, smiling widely.

"I don't know what Joshua .. the other Joshua .. I think of you as Josh. Anyway, I don't know where he has in mind for you to stay."

She stepped in closer, almost touching his body with her own.

"And no, there are no little puppy-dogs at my heels. Though Joshua, well, he is a bit protective sometimes, so is Alonria."

Impulsively, she reached out and lightly grasped one of his hands in hers.

"We can go ask though, I mean where you can stay."

She shrugged, and a faint blush colored her cheeks again.

Josh smiled softly as he looked at the woman for a few moments more, paying close attention to her. He brought his hand up slowly and gently traced his fingertips over her hands when she took a hold of his hands. He smirked softly, knowing that she obviously hadn't caught on to the question that he was asking. He supposed that he would have to be a bit more obvious when speaking with the girl.

"Hmmmm...I think I met Alonria once already. As for Joshua, he looks like an understandable man. I'm sure as long as I wasn't too noisy, he wouldn't mind where I stayed." He looked at her for a few more moments, smiling softly, "So I guess now we are headed off to talk to Joshua about my living arrangements, right?"

He closed his eyes and took a long breath for a few moments. He smiled while he looked into her eyes for a few more moments and then spoke softly, "Maybe you should show me around the place." He chuckled softly and brought his hand up, slowly tracing his fingertips over the side of her face and then down over her neck and over her collarbone, "I wonder what else I can do that would make you purr...maybe we should experiment."

She nodded, leaning in just slightly.

"Right, not that I know where Joshua is ... he might be busy. And, I would love to show you around."

She squeezed his hand softly, eyes half closing, purring as his fingertips caressed her face.

And a soft giggle escaped her.

"Experiment? Maybe so. C'mon," she said, tugging on his hand lightly.

She smiled very widely, eyes glittering with happiness. Actually, it had been a while since she had been happy. Most of her time was spent thinking. This was impulsive and sudden. She just met this man, really didn't know him. Yet, it was almost an instant connection of some sort. Even if no more than a few nice days til he had to leave. So be it.
