It's not at all unlikely both sisters conceived the same night, giving birth the same day is more improbable but may happen. That each had a pair of boy-girl twins is where it's go a bit freaky, but why not. Since moms are identical and dads are identical, the girls are identical and the boys also (okay, it doesn't necessarily work that way, of course). So for each boy there's a sister and a cousin who are identical, and each girl has a brother and cousin who are identical.

I don't know where to go with this without triggering Lit special sensitivities, but probably there's something.

So if a couple is prone to have twins, it is most likely that they will be from different eggs rather than a single egg that splits. And while identical twins are almost always the same sex, there are cases that they were aren't, fraternal twins can be either the same sex or not as the eggs might not be fertilized at the same time.

And while identical twins are almost always the same sex, there are cases that they were aren't, fraternal twins can be either the same sex or not as the eggs might not be fertilized at the same time.

Sure. I don't know how rare one-egg different gender twins are; in my understanding one of them would likely to be of "weird" gender then, either XX male or XY female (and yes, such people are around even before going into really murky waters of transsexuals and transgender), but none of that has a bearing here. Real world probabilities aren't asked to intervene. Anyways, the sons and daughters don't have to be of the same egg, even likely not; to be virtual clones of their respective dads and moms that likely wasn't initially related (as far we know at least) they almost certainly have to be fraternal and not splits. Since both dads fucked both moms that night, there's even possibility they aren't siblings and cousins in the way assumed but some cross combination of half-siblings or another.

I went for such a freak accident of nature for the perceived notion that there's significantly less steep taboo barriers for kissing cousins than siblings (although with boy-girl pairs being twins it may even be in reverse) and still they're easily mistaken, and bit later with moms too.

Out of curiosity, and asking anyone on this.
What would happen from descendants of pregnancy from twin incest? I read that the descendants would have 100% identical genetics to the parents if the parents were identical to each other. But what about non-identical?
Also interesting is that twins often married each other in south-east-Asia.


Edit: Looked it up and fraternals share 50% DNA just like ordinary siblings.
