Colossal pressures inside the reactor vessels in Fukashima units 1-3 may have caused the container vessels and the massive steel and concrete containment shells to burst, resulting in the massive explosions we saw in March of this year.

If this is true, then the severity of the Fukashima nuclear disasters are far worse than anyone who isn't a nuclear scientist can imagine.

All depends on what the definintion of "may have" is...
 
The radiation released by the four total meltdowns at the Fukashima Daiichi nuclear power plant was many times greater than that which was released by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
