Where invoice conditions spelled out on your contract? If so, you MUST follow them to the letter or they can dick you around for a long time.
If they were and you did follow the rules to the letter (i.e. certified lein releses and all that) then one phone call and one run around is all they should be allowed. From here on ALL of your communication with them should be done via certified letter and it would not hurt to get an attorney (most poeple know one how would do this first letter for free) and have him 1.) send a letter to the company and 2.) be copied ANY letters you send this company.
Or turn the machine off and go for a swim or a walk or a run. go have an ice cream cone; it's getting to the ice cream part of the year in TX, isn't it?
That sucks Lavy - don't suppose you know any lawyers who can handle this for you? *grin*
Or maybe we can sick PC on 'em?
Seriously - I hate this kind of shit - I spend much to much of my life dealing with inept bureaucracies (is there any such thing as an ept bureaucracy?) Health insurance payments that aren't made, banks, schools, phone company, on and on and on - somehow they never have to live up to their end of the bargain and we all have to spend precious time making them do what they should just do happily in the first place.
Just wait until you have the one world government you so love...
You would not have to worry about getting paid... Your services would go into the communal kitty and you would be alloted a place to sleep and a warm bowl of grub...
