fuckin' cold 'n' snow here in TN

thursday it snowed. friday night it got WAY below freezing, like 12 degrees. our fucking pipes froze. i got up for work this morning and there was only cold water in the bathroom..the hot water didn't flow at all when the faucet was turned on. then i got a phone call from my hubby while i was at work saying i needed to come home like NOW. a water pipe that was run into our partially finished attic had burst and water was pouring down into the laundry room, a shower was coming out of the light in the ceiling. we got the water turned off, and found out the pipe had split down into the wall. hubby & his uncle found it and was gonna fix it. but the pipe was still split down into the concrete foundation of the house.. it just keeps getting FUCKING WORSE! we went out to find dinner since i can't cook w/o water and came home and the ceiling in the laundry room is no longer the fucking ceiling..it's all over the damned floor, insulation & sheet rock EVERYWHERE!!!

I'm in northwestern TN...and it is so cold here, it's unbelievable. My heat is cranked up to 85, and it is still freezing. I've got some serious drafts going on somewhere. But if I try to find them tonight I'll get colder.

Can't win for losing...

We just missed the snow here in Atlanta. But we got the extreme cold.



Maybe this thread should be a PSA for leaving the cold AND hot water running when it's this cold.
