Um, you buy a new one? They're really cheap (unless you have a specialty keyboard). Mine cost $12 or something and I love it.Vermilion said:I dripped leg wax on my keyboard. Or if it's stuck to the laptop.S-Des said:(unless you have a specialty keyboard).
Damn, I never thought about that. I can't afford a laptop good enough to use as an every day computer. V, if that's the case, PM me. I used to make my living fixing analog & digital electronic gear. I can walk you through the pluses & minuses of which things to use. But if it's a regular keyboard, I'd just replace it (way too much work to fix it right). On the bright side, if it doesn't act up right away, you should be home free.Liar said:Or if it's stuck to the laptop.

YAY - YOU'RE BACK!!!
Don't know if the popping off keys works with a laptop, but I seem to have solved the issue anyway, ran a skewer around the keys to lift off the worst of the wax, then a cotton bud with oil on to remove the residue and take off the stuff under the key, then kitchen towel with wahsing up liquid on to get rid of the oil. My keyboard actually looks better than it did to start with!

Hope this helps.
see ya, Lisa.

And I have to say I am a little concerned that they do not provide any information on personal grooming and hygiene for laptops...

Female multi-tasking gone bad.
And TGP - that's why I specified *leg* wax... didn;t want anyone getting their hopes up... also, candle wax woulda been much easier to remove as it's less sticky and hardens quickly and completely...

I thought all keys did that but when I tried it on my keyboard I landed up with a crooked half pried off key. and there are still crumbs in the keyboard.Chantilyvamp said:The keys will pop off if you need to clean them and it will allow cleaning under the keys! sadly mine was the space bar....Vermilion said:ditto.
Can;t get the key back on properly, but at least it's not a very useful one... like the letter 'e',
or this being Lit, the letters 'f' or 'u'....
