I'm sorry your Christmas is going to be bad this year. I understand not everyone is going to be merry. Timing is everything and this just isn't a good time for many people.

Mine this year should be great. I'm really looking forward to it. Even though I still have a lot of stuff to get done before then and I should be in a panic by now, it is the people who matter at Christmas. If I don't get something done in time, I'll live. I'll be spending Christmas with people I love and that's what matters in the end.

I'm so glad you vent here Ezarc. It is a safe place for that.

It's time to build your own traditions. Christmas has become a season, and not just a day. I have learned to start my own traditions and make the day that I have Christmas very special. Did you know that in some countries in Europe they celebrate Santa Claus day (I believe it's December 12th). That's the day they distribute gifts and have the big feast and all the fun. I really like that and have done that in the past. They save Christmas Day as a spiritual and religious day - without all the hoopla.

I'm probably gonna spend christmas being bitched at and told what to do thats how my birthday was and oh if I drink wine and too much my mother probably will confisticate it from me. she rather controlling I'm 20 for gods sakes lol Hopefully gonna be good food thought and wine. so I wont have to hear them bitch all night long lol

My Christmas isn't going to be stellar either. My parents are separating, and haven't even told their families yet... which means that when we have family over, we have to pretend like everythings fucking wonderful, because it is my parents' place to tell their respective families. Similarly, giving gifts has become more complicated, as I have to duplicate things this year. And I don't even get to have honey with me on Christmas. My family has asked that I come home, rather than spend it with his family this year, and they've asked that I don't bring him with me, as this should be a 'family thing', as it's 'our last Christmas together, all living in the same house'.

Fuck.

Because if I don't get a job soon, I'll have to ask my folks for money to continue the degree.
I'm not into hearing a lecture for Christmas, (or New Year's for that matter).
I want to stay at college longer than they expect.
