I still say that for the image they were trying to convey at the time the turkey made more sense. The eagle is a scavenger that flies away when startled and easily gives up land to predators. A turkey will fight like a motherfucker. A turkey can fuck you right up. I've seen a man beat to shit by a turkey- turkey and deer both are far more badass then folk who don't hunt are led to believe. I'm much more scared of a turkey then I am of an eagle.

And wild turkeys aren't as fat as the ones that you're used to. They are big, muscle bound fuckers who will not be fucked with. They're mostly dark meat because they have so much muscle. Most of the turkeys sold for consumption in the States are raised in factory farms and TORTUROUS SCIENCE is utilized to make them so delicious.
