Maybe I just need to bitch/whine/go break something I don't know. I've been logging in every evening to check on my latest story. It's been almost 2 whole weeks that I've had this ONE story pending. I've never waited over 3 days. There has been 29 people who have read my story while in pending.
It's not taboo, it's not nonconsent too graphic, no animals were harmed in the making of this story, no villages burned nor monsters hunter inhumanely.
It's just a simple, consensual, best damn thing I have written and I am baffled why on earth it's not up yet.
What do I do? If someone has a kind word today I'd appreciate it. I'm pretty frustrated about the whole thing. Maybe I just need a hug.

Hi Cheery. You're not alone. There've been other threads re. your complaint and it seems two to three weeks has become an average. Easy to say, but be patient. Also, don't view your story cos each time you do it counts as a view and puts you at the bottom of the queue again.

Welcome, and best to you, Perdita

Cheery,

The 29 views are also normal and they're by just one person clicking on your story 29 times and that's Laurel. Patience. :)

Oh, and {hugs} :rose:

I've seen this before, and I don't understand: how do you view your story when it's pending?

If you have copied and pasted, clicking on pending will give access to the text.

You can then amend it and re-submit BUT I think it then counts as a new submission and goes to the end of the queue.

Hi Cherry - Hugs to you. Waiting sucks. I commiserate. Right now the wait for stories to post seems to be somewhere between 8 days to two weeks (plus or minus). My last story took nine days and I was checking my submissions page about every 2 hours, so you are a stronger person than I.

According to the FAQ it only counts as a re-submit if you click on submit when you view the pending page. My understanding is that just opening the pending page counts as a view (29 views in your case), but it doesn't put you back at the end of the line (or else I think maybe it would re-submit your story every time Laurel opened it?).

Breathe deep. Seek peace. It's not your writing. ;)

Luck to you,

Yui

thank you

Thanks for the friendly advice.
I am not clicking on the pending icon and looking at my story. I'm looking in the vew submissions area where you see were your story is rated and how many people have read it. So the 29 views aren't me. It went a week with 12 then in one day jumped to 29, so I don't know. Maybe carpul tunnel syndrom attacked someone's mouse clicking finger or after reading all of these stories they were clicking out morse code sos's.
I appreciate the words. I will just have to learn more patience. I've just been stuck on this one and I can't seem to finish any other one until I know what's going on.

And since I'm already being a public nuisance.....
Why does this thing say I'm a virgin, and for goodness sake (or I suppose in this case badness' sake) how do I go about ah popping the cherry out from under my name?

:D

Welcome Cheery, you cheeky Virgin, you!

The status below your name has to do with the number of posts in the forums. I think when you hit 30 you'll lose your 'cherry' and become Experienced. At 100 posts you can post an AV (neat little picture under your name) and as the post counts get higher, your status will change accordingly.

Good luck with the story. Let us know when it finally posts so we can go check it out.

Other than not submitting any more posts, is there any way of keeping my Virgin status.

It makes me feel nostalgic!

LOL

The good ole days, huh? Best I can tell you to do is hit 1000 posts as quickly as possible because then you can design your own. You can go back to Virgin then. Although, I've read some of your posts and I'm not buying it.
