Gene lived near a small rural town in northwest Louisiana, only a few minutes away from his childhood home. His ancestors settled in the area long before the Civil War. But even the deep roots and love of family wasn’t enough to keep him there full time. It became apparent later in life, that he inherited the same wander lust that brought his family from Virginia to Louisiana. As a child, he developed a fascination for trucks, big trucks. This eventually became his career, now over forty years, and a way to satisfy his wander lust, but still keep his roots with his family.
Having traveled all over the country for many years, Gene eventually settled into a more regional job, working in the oil fields of Louisiana and Texas. This left him with some down time each day, and a need for a way to entertain himself when he wasn’t working. He began writing to fill that need. A few short stories at first, which were never intended to be seen by anyone else. After reading many stories here on literotica.com, he decided to post some of his own. The results were what he considered to be satisfactory. One of the was even tagged as “hot” by the editors.
When the Tangled Web; Secrets Unveiled story began, its intent was the same as the others. For his eyes only, to occupy his idle hands. That changed along the way.
“At a certain point, the thing took on a life of its own. I had to keep writing to find out what was going to happen. I had no idea where it was going.”
Gene was eventually convinced to share this tale with the rest of the world too, but this time, in a published book format. He hopes that his imagination has led to a story that you will enjoy reading as much as he enjoyed creating it. If you enjoyed his stories that are published here, you’ll love the book!
