Lauren McCallister and Becky Sandhurst are two girls from Denver, Colorado. They have been best friends since kindergarten, and are inseparable. This continued through primary school, middle school, high school, and now college, as they are about to start their first semester at the (fictional) Nevada State University as roommates.

Lauren is an athletic girl who enjoys hiking, skiing, and snowboarding and is never without her classic-rock-filled iPod. Becky is a drama nerd, has been in all of her schools' plays, been in the starring role in some of them, and dreams of making it to Broadway.

Both girls are nervous about leaving their families and everything they've known, but excited at finally starting on their journey to the adult world. They have each had boyfriends, Lauren leaving hers when she left for college, but are good, hardworking girls.

Of course, they don't realize exactly what Fate has laid out for them, or how 'adult' the world they are entering will turn out to be for them...

OOC:

I will be playing Becky and Lauralicious will be playing Lauren. Other people will eventually be able to join, but at first we'd like it to just be us two while we get the story started.

Becky Sandhurst unlocked the door to her room, stumbling inside. It was the end of her first Friday at university, and she was exhausted. She had had all five classes today, been forced to run across campus to get to each one, hauling her bookbag made heavy by the fact that she had to carry all her books for all her classes - she didn't have time to stop by the room between classes. Besides, their room was on the top floor of the most distant dorm, typical freshman lodgings.

She dropped her bookbag on the floor, and collapsed into her bed. The first few days of classes were over; now the hard parts were starting to begin. Her first essay had been assigned, in her Philosophy class no less, and she had a week to do it, not to mention the hundreds of pages of reading she had to do for her othe class.

Becky groaned into her pillow, pulling Fred, her ancient teddy bear, close to her for comfort. Still, at least it was the weekend, and hopefully Lauren would be back soon. She was still getting used to her own shedule; she didn't know whether Lauren had classes now, was with another friend, or what, but Becky felt too drained to even bother picking up her cell phone to call.

Lauren had three of her five classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but the Friday afternoon class was her chem lab, and it was starting to look like that class was probably going to run late every Friday. At least some of the guys were cute, though. She'd have to figure out which was the smartest and get him to be her lab partner. She wished, though, that she had more classes with Becky. They had tried to figure out their schedules before they registered for classes, and they had had it all worked out so they could take a few classes together, but then when the time came to register, all the classes they wanted were full, so they had to take different ones, and now none of them were the same.

Lauren pulled her cellphone from her bag as she walked out of the lab building. A couple boys smoking cigarettes watched her walk by, which she tried to do as briskly as possible. She could feel them looking at her breasts. That was annoying. She flipped her phone open and pressed down on the number 9. Her phone called Becky's phone right away. Ring... ring...

Becky let out another groan into her pillow as she heard her cellphone vibrate from her bookbag. She had almost fallen asleep, and debated just letting it go to voicemail, but if it was Lauren, figured it would be worth seeing what was going on with her. Letting go of Fred, Becky sat up and jumped off her bed, fumbling through her overstuffed bag, finally answeing her phone right before it would have cut to her voicemail. Caller ID said Lauren; at least she had been right.

Opening the phone, she put it to her ear. "Hey babe," Becky said, using the familiar, platonic greeting for her best friend. "I'm in the room, just got out of class. Where are you?"

"I just got out of my chem lab. Which is, of course, on the other side of campus from our room. I'm right by downtown. Want me to pick you up a burrito or some Chinese food? I can't stand the cafeteria food, it's so greasy and tasteless." She looked around, surveying the nearby eateries for something extra delicious. Like Becky. She shook her head. Where did that come from?

"Ooh, some Chinese would be great," Becky said, her stomach rumbling at the thought. Her schedule hadn't allowed her to go to lunch, and breakfast seemed so long ago...and, as Lauren had said, not that good.

"I'm sure you know what I want," she added with a giggle. Becky religiously ordered General Tso's Chicken and fried rice, and Lauren always teased her about being so predictable, that she should take more risks. Of course Lauren would say that; she was the adventurous one. She was also the fit and athletic one, Becky thought with a twinge of jealousy and self-denigration. Becky wasn't fat, but she could maybe lose a few pounds...

"How long do you think you'll be?" she asked. Again, she didn't need to say that she'd pay Lauren back; they knew that any money they spent on the other, the other would spend on them, eventually.

"Oooh, it looks like there's a long line at the General's," Lauren said, crossing the street, running quickly. "So... half an hour Forty minutes? Ok, I'll see you soon, love, bye" Lauren said, closing her phone as she examined the take-out menu. She tried to find something she'd never had before. An old favorite was staring at her, though... Spicy Prawns n Rice...

It was settled. She placed her order, sat down on a bench outside to wait. She opened her chemistry book and tried to process all that information again. It just wasn't sticking to her brain. And the lab had done little to help, either.

A scruffy-looking hippie-boy rolled by in front of her on a skateboard. His hands were full of brightly-colored fliers. "Hey!" the skaterboy said when he spotted Lauren studying on a Friday evening. "You should come to this party tonight," he said, handing her a flyer and then rolling off. "Bring your friends!" he called over his shoulder. She looked at it. "Back to School Bash! Sigma Alpha Epsilon Frat House! $8, Girls Free! DJ Fanboi Spinning All Night!"

She tucked the flier in her backpack and then heard her name called. She grabbed the brown paper bag, dropped a dollar in the tip jar, winked at the cute asian boy at the front and sauntered out. She opened the bag when she got outside. Yup. She didn't even have to ask for extra hot sauce anymore.

She hiked across the huge campus, past dorms and classbuildings old and new (though the old weren't really THAT old... Lauren had seen some OLD buildings in New York and Chicago on vacations, and everything out west just seemed so much newer, glitzier but lacking classic style. Hmm... maybe she should go into architecture?) Lauren finally saw the tall frosh dorm ahead, one of the older buildings on campus. The elevators hadn't worked at all since they'd gotten there, so Lauren and Becky had hauled all their stuff up several flights of stairs, several times. By now, Lauren was getting used to the climb. She took the steps two at a time, driven by her hunger ever-upward, the sweet and spicy smells of chicken and shrimp making her empty belly rumble. She finally got to their floor, opened the door, walked down the hall and opened the door to their little room. "Hey, Love," she said, smiling at the sight of her best friend sprawled across her bed. "I got dinner! You hungry?"

"Okay, see you then, buh-buy," Becky said, blowing a kiss into the cellphone as she flipped it shut. She wondered what Lauren would get, and if she'd be able to get a taste.

She looked at her clock, and then at her stuffed bookbag, and then her laptop, and then, longingly, at Fred and her pillows. Her day had worn her out; college classes were much more draining than she'd found her highschool classes to be, especially after summer break had worn down some of her studious edges. She longed to take a short nap before Lauren arrived, but reluctantly, Becky forced herself to sit down at her laptop to start doing research for this stupid paper.

She knew she had to work hard to make sure she kept her grades good; she couldn't afford to slip up, and if she didn't start now, her procrastinating side would forever dominate her destiny. She laughed a bit at the reference, blaming it on a friend; but the laugh was tinged with sadness and loneliness, being so far from everyone she knew for the first time. Well, not everyone, she reminded herself. Lauren, her best friend forever, was her roommate now, and after all, it wouldn't do for her to come back after being forced to wait for 40 minutes and walk across campus to see that Becky had spent the entire time sleeping, now, would it?

Reluctantly, Becky started looking up Descartes, before picking up he textbook to take notes on her bed, Fred in her lap. Maybe she could get the best of both worlds...Becky was there when the door opened and Lauren walked in.

"Hey, Love, I got dinner! You hungry?"

"Hey hottie!" Becky said, practically throwing the textbook away from her. "You know I am. Let me get this set up..."

In a few minutes, Becky had spread out a blanket on the floor for them to dine on, and sat down next to her friend. "So, how did the first week of college rate?" she asked, as they began to eat. "I know my first weekend of college is going to consist of me looking up stuff on long dead French guys."

Lauren popped a prawn in her mouth, chewing the juicy fried seafood, the hot spices filling her senses. She swallowed her bite and took a drink of water. "College is going to be hard, love!" She said. "I'm going to be spending the weekend trying to understand how hydrogen does what it does. Do you know what hydrogen does? This shit doesn't make any sense to me. How's your chicken?" She asked, taking another bite of the spicy prawn.

"Hydrogen? I don't know. Burns?"

Becky chewed the chicken thoughtfully, considering Lauren's question. "It's all right. They overdid the chili, and underdid the garlic." She grinned suddenly, a girlish grin that dimpled her cheeks. "I guess that fact that I'm a General Tso connoisseur is proof enough I should start getting something else, right?" She patted her stomach, underneath her yellow tanktop. "Besides, all this fried food isn't good for my figure. Maybe I should start rock climbing with you."

Becky giggled, then frowned. "Seriously, I feel like I've suddenly got so much work dumped on me. I hope I'll have enough free time to do the play when it comes. I hear they're doing Twelfth Night." She sighed, visions of getting the role of Olivia, only to have to decline to have enough time to finish a fifty page essay on the Russian Revolution, dancing through her head.

"Oh, love, your figure is fabulous. And you are always welcome to come climbing with me. Wanna come with me tomorrow? You know they have a climbing wall in the school gym, it's pretty good to work out on, especially for beginners like me."

Lauren nibbled on a prawn and chewed thoughtfully. "Twelfth Night? You were so good in that in high school! They'd be fools to not give you Olivia, you know. I've got a lot of work to do, too. We should go to the library tomorrow, too. Won't be so many distractions, like here. You know, if we work together, I think we'll get all our shit done and still have time to play," Lauren said. She offered Becky a big juicy prawn. "Want one?"

"Aww, you're sweet, you know that?" Becky said, leaning forward to take the prawn into her mouth, chewing it as she sat back down on her haunches. She would have offered a piece of chicken to Lauren, but she bet by now her friend would be sick of sampling the same dish of Becky's.

"I was all right in high school...but I'd be much better now," she said with a cocky grin. "But you have a deal. I'll climb with you tomorrow, and then we'll have a fun, exciting time doing library research! Yay!" she squaled in faux bliss.

"That's a deal!" Lauren said. She munched on some rice. "But I'm not gonna spend my first Friday night at college studying!" she said. She grabbed her backpack and pulled out the flier that strange hippie skater boy had given her, and handed it over to Becky. "What do you think? Ooh, can I have a piece of that chicken?"

"Trade you the chicken for the flier?" Becky joked, taking the paper from Lauren's hand while pushing the Chinese food box towards her.

"Hmm, where'd you find this?" she asked, looking it over. "Ooh, girls get in free! That's a plus. So is a live DJ...just hope he isn't crap."

She looked back up at Lauren. "I'd be game. Just think, our first frat party! I just hope it lives up to Animal House," she added, with a laugh. "Besides, someone needs to chaperone you," she giggled.

"Some weird hippie boy on a skateboard gave it to me when I was waiting for the chinese. Really, you want to go? This'll be so much fun!"

She munched on the chicken. "This is so good, I see why you get it all the time." She closed up her box, only half-eaten. She felt full enough, and wanted to save it for tomorrow. It'll be perfect for nibbling at the library.

Lauren got up, put her box in the little refrigerator, and then opened her closet and started rifling through the hanging shirts, skirts, pants. She quickly picked out a denim skirt that fell an inch or two past mid-thigh on her, and a little black halter top. "I think I'm gonna take a quick shower," she said, setting her party outfit on her bed and grabbing a pink silk robe, her shower bucket and a big blue towel.

"Hippies go to parties?" Becky asked, as she followed Lauren's example and put her leftovers away in their mini-fridge. For her, though, it was more of a test of wills: to prove that she could stop eating if she wanted. In reality, Becky wasn't really overweight; she was just insecure, especially when compared to the fit Lauren, whose body most boys glanced to when they were together.

She started cleaning up the trash from their little 'picnic' as Lauren began preparing for the shower. Becky suddenly piped up. "Would you mind picking something out for me?" she asked. Ever since their second middle school dance, Becky had had Lauren pick out her clothes, mainly because of a response to what she had worn to that first dance. Becky lacked a certain sense of style that Lauren had; after all, the theater department had people for costumes.

"Oh, of course, love," Lauren said, and turned back to her closet. After a few moment's deliberation, she grabbed a flowerprint red and white skirt and a white tank top with the word "TEASE" written across the tits in big flaming red letters. She turned and held the clothes against her body and looked at Becky. "How's this?" she asked.

Becky threw the trash in the trash bin (making sure to save the appropriate stuff for recycling, of course) and folded up the blanket, and by the time she was done Lauren was holding out her proposed party attire for inspection.

Becky couldn't help but blush a bit at the top. "Do you really think...Oh, what am I saying?" she said, suddenly smiling as she walked up to take the clothes from Lauren's hands. "It's a frat party. I'm sure that'll be conservative in comparison. Thanks," she added, laying the clothes out on the bed.

Becky planned on changing once Lauren went to the shower; not because she was prude, the two girls having been naked together many times, even since puberty; rather, she not only wanted to finish sorting out her workbooks and papers, but also wanted Lauren to see the complete ensemble in one hit when she came back.

"mmKay, love, I'm gonna hit the shower," Lauren said, grabbing her shower stuff again and heading out the door. She blew Becky a kiss on her way out, and then was down the hall, into the communal female bathroom and shower. Two of the shower stalls were occupied. She turned the water on in one of the stalls and peeled off her tee shirt and jeans. One of the showers turned off. She let the water warm up for a moment before peeling off her black sports bra, letting her large breasts fall out. She slid her solid black boyshort panties down her legs. She looked up and locked eyes with a sophomore girl who lived down the hall, the girl holding her towel. She was skinny, but with perky full breasts. "Hi," Lauren said, and then stepped naked into the warm water. She closed the curtain behind her, her heart racing.

What the hell was wrong with her? She had definitely had an intense attraction to the girl... she looked damn good naked and wet. She shook her head, letting the hot water rush over her body. How many of her girlfriends had she seen naked? Well... there was Becky. But how many times had she been naked in locker rooms in high school? She shampooed her long brown hair, rinsed, conditioned, and then went about soaping up her body.

God, she thought, if I'm checking out girls, I must really need to get laid. In the abstract, that turned her on. But she hadn't really met any guys in college yet that got her blood boiling, her pussy aching. So why was her pussy aching so much now? Was it just longing for her exboyfriend? At least for the fun they had in bed? She didn't know. She rinsed the soap off her body and let the conditioner get rinsed all out of her hair and then she turned off the water and opened the curtain. She quickly grabbed her towel. The other girl was gone.

She dried off, wondering about the girl in the other running shower, then put on her little pink silk robe and tied it round her waist. She wrapped her towel around her hair and piled it on top of her head and then grabbed her clothes and headed back to their room, and then walked in...

"Have fun," Becky answered Lauren's kiss with a giggle, then returned to sorting out her work. She was anal like that: everything had to be in its proper position, even if she wasn't going to use it for days.

After a few minutes she was done, kicking off he sandals. She slid her yellow tanktop and jeans off, leaving her clad only in her white bra and panties. They were frilly, but covered everything; she considered changing into more risque ones, or leaving them off altogether, then laughed. There was no way she was going to go that far with anyone she just met, especially at a frat party.

Becky slipped the skirt and top Lauren had selected for her on, then chose a pair of black high-heels, nothing too fancy. She went to te mirror, brushed her short black hair, put on a bit of eyeshadow and lipstick - didn't want to look trashy, but also didn't want to look like a slut - and then looked at herself in the mirror, smiling. She looked nice.

It was then that the door opened, and Lauren came in, wet and dressed in her robe.

"You look better than I do," Becky said, as she stood for Lauren to see. "But what do you think?"

Lauren beamed; Becky looked fantastic in that outfit. Cute and alluring but definitely not a slut... the top was tight and her breasts filled the word "TEASE" very nicely, but covered her mostly as well, leaving just a sexy hint of her wonderful cleavage underneath. "Becky, love, you're fabulous!" Lauren said, smiling and giggling.

She turned and started rifling through her delicates drawer. She knew what she was looking for, and pulled out her strapless push-up, black with a little lace, good support for her breasts. She pulled out a little black thong, and then bent over and stepped into it, sliding it up her legs and then adjusting it into her comfort zone underneath her robe. Then she slid the robe off, tossing it on the cornerpost of her bed, and put on her bra, her back still to Becky. She adjusted the flesh of her breasts for maximum cleavage and comfort. She turned and grabbed her outfit off the bed. She stepped into the denim skirt and then pulled on her top, a black halter-top that was low-cut enough for a nice view of her cleavage, but not so much that she felt totally exposed. She spun for Becky. "What do you think, love?" she asked.

Becky watched Lauren change, eyeing her closely: not with any hint of desire, but rather enjoying watching such a pretty, athletic body move. She smirked a bit at her friend's choice of underwear; of course, Lauren had good reason to wear something like that, she might actually score that night. That made Becky a bit uneasy; would she have to leave the room for the night? How would their friendship deal with Lauren bringing guys back to the room often? Of course, maybe she could bring one back for Becky, too...

By that time, Lauren was fully clothed, and twirled for Becky. "Oh, you look yummy!" Becky gushed. "Every guy there will have a hardon for you."

"Oh, love, I don't think it'll be just for me. Those hard-ons will be for both of us, love. We're gonna stick together, okay? We've got to watch each other's drinks and make sure that the boys are really as cute as we think they are." Lauren smiled. "I promise I won't leave without you."

Becky smiled, but didn't believe Lauren. She knew that between the two of them, guys almost always fixated on Lauren first, and Becky second, if she were lucky. But that didn't bother her. Boys were stupid compared to their friendship.

"Thanks, hon," she said. "You can beat up anyone who makes an indecent proposal to me." Becky giggled, then picked up her purse and walked towards the door, waiting for Lauren to finish and join her. She had the party flier, after all.

Lauren took one last look in the mirror, then turned to her best friend. "Do you know where the Alpha Sigma Epsilon house is? I don't know anything about the frats. There's probably going to be a lot of dumb sorority girls there, huh? Those bitches annoy me so much sometimes," she said. She followed Becky out the door, and they were off. Down so many flights of stairs, barefoot, clutching their heels and the railing. They came to the bottom floor and were soon out on campus again. The sun was long set, there were roaming groups of students wandering in the general direction of parties, drunken frivolity the general mood about campus.
