I pray for the innocent people you and people like you are killing over there. They have no choice in the matter unlike you. War moved right next door to them. Accident or no accident they are still dead. You chose your job. Live by the sword die by the sword. Why should I pray for you? By going there you decided to court death. You are trying to kill people by your own choice. People are trying to kill you because you invaded their country. If you really wanted our prayers why say I may die tomorrow? You cant stop a war if you are telling your young it is important work being done and America needs you. Since Congress is bought and paid for the only hope the citizens have to stop the war is to stop our young from joining the military or re-enlisting. I am a veteran of the Gulf War and was mobilized after 9/11. I am still a drilling reservist and if I get called to go to Iraq I will not go. I am within 4 years of earning my pension and I will give it up before I go to an inmoral war based on lies and manipulation. I will leave the country or go to jail.

Was Vietnam defending America? The US lost in Vietnam with no consequences for my freedom. All those people 56,000 Americans and 3,000,000+ Vietnamese died for a US mistake. The war Like Iran was based on lies. Recall the attack (Tonkin Gulf) that led to US military involvement that was not an attack.

German soldiers sent to invade Russia in 1941 went with belt buckles claiming the support of God in their mission. Hitler told them it was necessary for defense of the the fatherland. Less than 10% of the over 100,000 soldiers surrendered at Stalingrad ever returned alive.

Your rights and responsibilities as a citizen of a democracy have precedence over your rights and responsibilities of a soldier. You cant be a good soldier in a democracy without first being a good citizen. Being a citizen of a democracy means you dont fight inmoral wars based on lies that have nothing to do with US security. I am more than willing to fight in a moral cause that threatens US security. Iraq does not qualify.

I have a lot of experience with Marines. You guys have never met a war you dont like. You guys honestly scare me. That is the same attitude that the SS had. Loyalty to the man with no thoughtful reasoning of whether it is inmoral. That is why the My Lai massacre occurred and was covered up. That is why Abu Ghraib occurred. That is why all the other crimes including the murdering of civilains including women and children at a check point that is now under investigation. You guys are nothing more than unthinking attack dogs. Loyalty is more important to you than honesty. That is the way Nixon thought and that is the Bush thinks. You guys are sick. You revel in blood and death and call it sacrifice and courage. When all it is is a sick fascination with mayhem. You like the attention. You like the pats on the back and the important people shaking your hand and praising you. You know that prior to 9/11 those people did not even know or care you existed. If the cause is really national security why arent Bush's or congress peoples children there? Just like Vietnam the rich and powerful's children have "other priorities" as claimed by Cheney during Vietnam. In WWII those same kids of the rich and powerful went. You are not a patriot. You are a mercenary.

Lastly I have given my country 16 years of faithful service. I deserve something for that. If at all possible I want my pension. It is a practical matter. If forced to choose between Iraq and it my choice is obvious. I am a consciencious objector of stupidity. Stupid chickenhawks willing to waste American lives on bullshit. If Tyler reallywanted our prayers and was not trying to glorify himself why did he add the part about dieing? He does not know he is going to die more than you or I. Why didnt he just say American soldier in Iraq seeks your prayers?
